Obviously UCLA will be the favorite with every one they got returning. But, where do you see Hawaii ranked to start the year? As of today id rank UCI #2 & Hawaii #3 only based on the players they are losing

Let me make myself clear: I have the utmost respect for the womens game and its athletes. (NOT the majority of their Volleytalk fans.) I have said this over and over again. Like I said, crazy!! You only hear what you want to hear. I say the same old stuff over and over again, you say? DUH! I have maintained the same stance for every one of your incessant arguments over the years. I always have these arguments with you because of YOU. This time your excuse is because “I disparage posters.” I just make an observation/opinion. People are free to state their own opinions. At least I do not cuss my opinion as I am guessing regularly goes down on the Wahine boards. Anything else? Or can I just wait to receive another “like” already? Your “opinions” are just you sh*tting on different posters. And that’s your excuse they you’re “sharing your opinions” then this is me sharing mine. Your posts regularly disparage others for no reason other than you feed of drama. You are regularly misogynistic about posters who post on the women’s side, plenty of past evidence of that. I cuss because a pos should know that they are a pos. Disagreements happen on this board all the time, you go out of your way to start sh*t and I’m meeting you with that same energy. Cry all you want about the Wahine thread, it is hands down one of the most entertaining threads on here, we have fun. You are a fun-suck and that’s all you will ever be. And I will absolutely throw a like on your next response and leave it at that. The fact that you publicly admit it gets under your skin is hilarious. Continue being the sh*tty human being that you are and then playing dumb when called out on it. Everyone sees through the BS, no matter how much you try and save face. ✌🏾 ————————- Apologies everyone else on this board for high jacking it with negativity/arguments. I just can’t stand bullying. Thanks for the like. This just goes on and on and on because you and your psychotic obsessions. The one thing I have to give you credit for though, is at least you change it up from time to time with this and that, new wordage, etc. Keeps things from being as monotonous as my answers…. Because as I have said and will say again (Probably will not sink into that crazy head of yours, but, eh.): I just post my own opinion and reply back when replied to as I am doing now. I respect womens volleyball, but I just cannot stand the vast majority of the (Volleytalk) Wahine fans… you are a prime example of why. You are all nuts! I mean really the irony in all of this is that for all the derogatory stuff you say toward me, it is the same thing as what you accuse me of. At least I do not need to cuss it out. But then again, I am not from Whine country. I mean seriously too, can we also please just drop the high school hissy fit drama?!? LOL! This is not high school, so your “Mean Girls” or Netflix teenage high school drama antics, will not work with me. One more thing, thank you for your admission. You are the reason why these unnecessary arguments start here in the first place.

I think there will be a drop off from Long Beach for sure but as long as Hawaii figures out it’s setting and opposite situation then they should be solid Top 5 team.

if shewie slots into setter and choy takes the libero, i hope choy works on his out of system setting. we won't have dimi to make magic or thelle to be an option to set to.
lots of work to do in the offseason, but it's apparent that the culture has been building over the years. you can tell that next years seniors are wanting redemption.

Obviously UCLA will be the favorite with every one they got returning. But, where do you see Hawaii ranked to start the year? Honestly a bunch of teams lose a bunch with the exception being UCI, UCLA, LBSU and maybe a couple more. If Shewie gets moved to setter or we bring in a real talented transfer like Byu did with Hughes....I think we can be in the 4-8 range ranking wise. Just because we have our pins and passers all returning and our middles will be a big strength for us. And for the record, I highly doubt Charlie will move any of our passing pins to Oppo. He will give Alakai Todd a shot to prove his worth out there. Guarantee. He will give Buchanan a shot out there to prove his worth too I'd suspect. These boys have waited patiently for two years behind some talented peeps. Ain't no way Charlie wouldn't at least give them a shot.

UCI will mostly be intact. i don't know why I thought sani was done after this year. definitely a contender nationally, esp if the tourney expands to 12. they were good enough to be in the tourney this year.

Obviously UCLA will be the favorite with every one they got returning. But, where do you see Hawaii ranked to start the year? UCLA might continue the trend of back to back champs lol. From a general purview, a lot of top teams lost some key talent this season, so UCLA may be head and shoulders above everyone else. UC Irvine should be good next year, but they are always a key player or two away from being championship worthy. Henno and Sani are awesome, but error prone and can't lead the team alone. As for Hawaii, they'll probably Top 6 to start. But for the Bows, A LOT can happen from now until 2024. So I guess we'll see what the offseason holds...

And tbh, they have need in 2 positions: setter and Oppo. If Oguhzan does indeed get here and we can get a good setter transfer or slot Shewie back over ..... I fully believe we have a shot to surprise many people. Idk if we would be championship match worthy but I do think we could potentially make it back to the NCAA's especially with the core of the team still coming back one more year. Yeah we lose Thelle and Dimi and Hogland. But all ain't completely lost.

VT eye test - Kai Taylor for libero? He has been working hard for sure in that position. Also, keep an eye out for Ryan Sears coming in!

If Kai goes to libero, it would take him out of the possibility of him as a serving sub. His serve is something. UH could use. He also look to be pretty sporty with his attacks. I would let him and also Kai Rodriquez coming in next season practice as back ups to both Spyros and Chaz. We lose Humler and Akana, so we need immediate back up for those 2 spots.
I’m not confident that Keoni Thiim can pass well enough for him to be a full time player.

This board can be addictive. I was hoping I don’t have to lurk or post anything this morning but here I am again. Just can’t help it. 🤣 My short term goal though is not to leave any post/comments again until next year so I can concentrate on class and my part time job 🤣

It might be better to have cubicle make the thread. All good! I'll put together a Warriors links post at some point ... I'll just roll with it like last year. I like seeing the early/immediate enthusiasm for next year! I'm still processing the loss ... so very proud of all this team accomplished ... but dammit, I want hawaii to get that 3rd straight title! Gonna take a VT break for a bit just to decompress. In the meantime ... Happy posting everybody!

Just checked Sheward’s height and he’s 6’2”. Not short at all but could be a blocking liability? Irvine’s setter is 6’0” Yes, and Irvine went with a two setters with the Aussie dude and Sani at OPP
