japan released their team a that will participate in the domestic training camp, and i think this will also be their vnl lineup. other players not included will play in goodwill matches against china. OH: Yuki Ishikawa, Ran Takahashi, Kai Masato, Kenta Takanashi S: Masahiro Sekita, Akihiro Fukatsu OPP: Yuji Nishida, Kento Miyaura MB: Kentaro Takahashi, Akihiro Yamauchi, Taishi Onodera, Go Murayama L: Tomohiro Yamamoto, Tomohiro Ogawa kai masato will be the player to watch. young but tall and could be their next outside superstar. Kai is definitely one to watch, although I would say his movements are a little awkward. Exciting to see them invest in him though. I like his serve. Most notable exclusion is Otsuka. Maybe it will be good for him to shine with B team. Not sure how much the vnl lineup will rotate if at all |

I really loved what I saw of him last VNL. Hope he continues to grow next to these veterans. A really promising future for Japan as long as they can stay healthy on all fronts. Not sure how much the vnl lineup will rotate if at all eiro's was also a bit surprising. i wanted to see more of the players from nagoya and suntory, like yamazaki and oya, since they made it to the v. league finals. or at least be tested in their first two friendlies against china. |

sokolov, atanasov, and nikolov are given an extended break before returning to the bulgarian national team. sokolov, in particular, asked to be excluded from the vnl and only play in the eurovolley and paris olympic qualifications. meanwhile, kaziyski is still contemplating his return to the team, and, if he does, will only play in the eurovolley and ioqt.
bulgaria had a test match earlier today against the netherlands in italy. they won 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21).
