Netherlands is out. The final spot will be between France and Serbia. France will claim the spot if they win that Germany game.

Poland - Japan 15-8 Japan relies on a synergy of serve-dig-transition. They’ve done well to emerge as top of the middle pack teams, but against the elite teams it requires an almost perfect level of execution for their system in order to win. The starters, let alone bench, have yet to show they can consistently perform at the level necessary to beat elite and more physical teams |

This is also the first weekend Takahashi and Ishikawa didn’t play essentially full time every match. Other than at opposite they’ve essentially rolled starters. Final 8 is when they’ll have to be judged as most of the other top 8 have rotated guys through.
