I think Purdue is going to make alot of noise. Ohio is very good and the Boilers went through them like Wes on a Brat!

It's amazing how loud a splat in the first round of the NCAA's is...

My dream matchup would be Hawaii vs. Purdue in the First or Second Round. At Illinois. Anywhere in Illinois. Renata vs. Cayley at setter. Probably won't happen. But who knows? Revenge of the Boilermakers...er, Boilermakerettes.

Purdue could really make some waves this year in the Big-10. Solid team. I really like Dargan.

They'll probably finish in the Bottom 6 in the conference, but won't matter. They'll probably still make the NCAAs. I don't see them above Minnesota, Penn State, Ohio State (though they're sucky this year), Illinois, Wisconsin. But what do I know. I'm too far removed from my beloved Midwest to keep up with what's going down. And with all the distractions in California. It's hard.

Purdue is alot better than they were last year, and they hardly went splat in the first round. Purdue is better than Ohio State and Illinois, I think Purdue could finish third.

They have given me no reason to think they won't be in the top 3-4 of the Big Ten.
They are definitely better than Illinois... they were last year too. As far as Ohio State goes, it's yet to be seen... but if Meyer keeps getting 75 swings a match, they'll be too predictable come Big Ten play.
1. Penn State 2. Minnesota 3. Wisconsin 4. Purdue 5. Ohio State 6. Michigan 7. Illinois 8. Michigan State 9. Northwestern 10. Iowa 11. Indiana

Look, I'm in a good mood recently. Why do you have to bring that up?
As for Purdue, I am really looking forward to the match tonight (although I have to leave in an hour for the morning session). A good test for the Boilers.

It's amazing how loud a splat in the first round of the NCAA's is... Wow, you are already putting Purdue in the NCAA tournament? Excellent. See, the problem with you folks who have these things handed to you on a platter every year is that you think comments like this actually bother us. When I got back to Purdue 6 years ago, the idea of losing in the first round of the NCAAs was a silly notion. So when I hear a comment that we will lose in the first round of the NCAAs, before the Big Ten season even starts, all it tells me is that we have come a long way. It's great. It's like bucky415 always says. 5 years ago, Purdue was happy to go undefeated in the preseason playing IPFW. Now they talk about beating top 30 and even top 15 teams. We start the Big Ten next week at Penn St and Ohio St, and I will be disappointed if we don't come home at least 1 - 1. Losing in the first round of the NCAA? It's better than not making it at all....

Agent B, hmmm.. I took IB's prediction as meaning he thought Hawaii would lose a first round matchup to Purdue.

Idaho boy is either on drugs or has a bad memory. The only reason Hawii advance to the sweet 16 last year is because Purdue upset #7 Colorado State on their home floor and Hawii did not have to play a much better Colorado State team in the second round. Hawii was also very lucky they were not down 2-0 to Purdue in that NCAA match. Purdue blew a 25-17 lead in the first game and Hawill won the 2nd 30-28. CSU wasn't much better than Purdue. CSU was probably overrated to begin. Purdue was much more impressive than CSU was.
