It’s the way usa fans said their C team would medal here but the A team couldn’t even do it. I was rooting for the USA here too though ugh 😭 but god these stats are so bad. China's B team, OTOH, actually did medal at VNL

she gives super wholesome vibes ive always loved her Stysiak played the whole VNL like she wanted it more than anything - she went from major defensive liability to being on the floor all the time and suddenly being credible at right back defense. Watching USA not be able to put it together these last two matches is frustrating but props to Turkiye and Poland for playing better than us. I'd love to see this Polish team + Wolosz in the Olympics. agreed. This Poland team is exciting

It's their first medal at a VNL, let em celebrate, lol. It's just odd to celebrate that much in juxtaposition to the DGAF level of effort they brought to the match I only watched the last couple points of set 4 and all of set 5; they seemed to care in the 5th. Should I even bother watching the 1st through 4th?

This week only affirmed that the Gov will be a lock for the tournament later this year. Kelsey probably will be too because she’s the best passer. That leaves 2 more spots. I think Frantti is the next best. So that leaves Skinner, Lanier, and Plummer to battle it out. Karch may take 2 of the three since he won’t give Hentz a chance either

i would love a fresh perspective for us, but nothing will happen until after this Olympic cycle so oh well. i'm just praying Karch has light bulb moment and learns from these missteps, but i'm not holding my breath

Team USA just had a bad weekend. No big deal. Players with just 1 year of pro experience looked good and will get better with experience. Setter #1 played too many games this tournament and was clearly affected, Setter #7, well looks like everyone here is gonna root for her no matter what, but she’s not the answer. Let’s face it, Team USA hasn’t won anything that matters when setter #7 is involved.

It wasn't the A team most nights though. Karch doesn't know who to put on the floor. LC is injured and JT isn't up to form. who even is the usa A team There is no 'A-team', we are 23 strong, we have no superstars, they are all equals... according to Karch.

I can’t believe I’m saying this (I can because this is the second time I’ve said it but still), I want to just SEE what a lineup with KRook and Larson looks like now. this whole week we were way too reliant on our outsides because our passing was SOOOOOO bad. even if Kelsey and Larson were able to hit around .200, that would be incredible if we were actually able to use our middles and JT.
or if Frantti and/or Khalia would be able to step up their passing, that’d be great lol. but both are leaving us with one option offensively far too often

JT needs to go to the shannon winzer camp of Choosing to Compete and we all know most of those balls would just go to kelsey lol

Not with our opposites playing so poorly and the setting being anti-middle even in favorable situations

Only saw set 5, and I don't think I'm going to watch the first 4 sets anytime soon.
Who started / played for USA in each set?
