Hawaii beat itself in the 3rd game. To many service errors and out balls. However, like Prince said in the interview, these are mental errors. Hopefully, it can be corrected by seasons end. I was surprised that Keefe played before Houston. Was Houston injured? Keefe, however, did a good job. I thought Tara did a good job as well. She, IMO, should be starting on the LS even though she is not 100%. As previous posters mentioned, Mason does seem a bit tentative. Didn't she have over 4 kills a game for Oregon and that was against a lot of the same schools (UCLA, USC, Washington). Maybe Oregon had no chance against these teams and she kept pounding away and this year she is feeling pressure to hit it in. I'm not sure, I never saw her play before. I am disappointed in the fans for booing/groaning when Kelly Ong came in. Now that the preseason is almost over, Hawaii can get healthy and focus on the areas that need improvement. Primarily it's their passing. I still have hope that this team is capable of making it to the final four.

This is my favorite thread only because the words "whiny" and "Wahine" are smack dab adjacent to each other.
No, seriously, I'd love to chat but my friend just had a baby and I'm busy trying to order flowers and cards and gifts and stuff. What's the saying, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, or chasing chickens before they are hatched, or choking the chicken (...no, that's something else...) whatever...

Was anyone else really impressed with how KK set Sanders in the first game? If they can get that going consistently, it'll be a HUGE weapon for them.

After watching the replay, I can see what BIK meant by the fact that the Wahine hung tough. It was apparent to me that UH needs to tweak one little thing; there's something that's almost right, but just not quite.
I wish the best of luck to them in discovering that missing piece.

The missing piece seems to be confidence.

Houston may have been injured also. She had a huge bandage that was partially showing just below her shorts line.

We haven't played each other this year bik. So how the hell would you no? Cal lost to Nevada!!!! And they haven't beaten anybody remotely close to being a top 25 team. That's how I know. Come back when you play and beat a top 10 team.

BiK -- The BOWS need to get with it - shame they do not have UCSB to play - The Gauchos could use an EASY victory (;>)

FWIW, I foresee a 19 match winning streak on the horizon for the Wahine. Not saying it stops then, just that that's as far as I can foresee.

I'm not assuming anything for UH against Boise State and Loyola Marymount (twice).
