Woohoo, we're onto tournament match threads! Here's a first draft of our match thread subdivision of labor table for the first round matches. Check out the table to let me know if the matches I've got you down for are ones you indeed want to cover. I'm making some assumptions based on the teams you covered this season as well as specific offers/posts you've already made about the tournament. Let me know if I need to make any changes. It sounded like the folks that weighed in were willing to make individual match threads for each match. Hopefully you're good with that but let us know if you want to do it differently. I'm going to tag the folks who I've already listed with specific questions directed at you personally- please respond to those, if you would. I'll also tag our other threadmakers I haven't listed to see if those folks want to make threads, too. The ones marked OPEN didn't have an obvious match threader. Let me know if you'd like dibs on any of those! I've only marked one for myself (my adopted tournament team, Pitt) but I can fill in gaps if need be.

trainermch - I've got you down for six five of the first round matches for SEC teams; let me know if that's too much! I'm sure someone, myself included, would help you cover them if you'd like a hand. baytree - I've got you down for all PAC teams not named Arizona State; you good with that? JJVb - You offered to cover a bunch of conferences not facing teams with regular match threaders; let me know if you're good with what I've penciled you in for, and if I've missed any others because I don't know all the non-P5 teams' conferences : ) JT - Per your recent exchange with avid 2.0 , we've got you down for the full Creighton subregional (I'll mark you down for Round 2 when I make that table, too). I've also marked you down for Hawai'i's first round match; you've previously offered/preferred to do full subregionals but baytree 's set to do Oregon's first round thread there; hopefully that's alright with you to split them. rainbowbadger - In addition to the obvious Wisconsin match, I've got you down for Marquette's first round; you okay with that? houstonbear15 - I've got you down to make Baylor's first round match thread (wanted to give you dibs); you good with that or would you prefer for someone else to do it? Cool, I think we can start there since I think everyone tagged here are our frequent match threaders this season. Hey trainer! That most recent table on page 32 is just round two matches. We’ve still got you making five SEC matches in round one listed in the table on page 30. Folks volunteered for the non-Florida SEC matches in round two. Hmm ok. Traveling rn (Bama vs Clemson basketball tonight on ESPN—ck out #24 🧡). Back home tomorrow and will do the ones nobody wanted. If you'd like to make second round match threads we can update the table and get those covered, too. Eight second round matches are actually being played on Friday- short turnaround there. I didn't want to assume that everyone wanted to make second round threads so I've left the table partially blank.
I penciled in our homers whose teams are hosting the second round matches (and manyshaped and houstonbear15 since there's no BYU or Kentucky homers) to give them right of first refusal; let me know if you're okay with making a thread for those matches.
There are five threads for which I haven't marked anything yet. Four of them have hosts with no homer threadmaker but rather our SEC and PAC conference threaders (trainermch and baytree); you two already have had a big workload and I wasn't sure how much you wanted to do in the second round. Let us know what you want to do and if anyone else wants to offer to make them, please weigh in. Yes, something vague enough to not spoil like: Round 2 | Kentucky Sub-Regional | Fri, Dec 1 - 6 PM CT | ESPN+There are eight round two match threads for games being played tomorrow that could possibly be created today (these are the ones that will be based on today's results). As avid mentioned in our conversation last year, it would be great if we could go with the vague naming convention like my example above. Then we can change the titles tomorrow to reflect who's actually made it to the second round in each sub-regional, while not spoiling results in the thread titles. FWIW, this effort would be consistent with the spirit of this message that's posted at the top of the main board: Please avoid "spoilers." Do not post the outcome of matches in the title. Thanks.

For me, I think the day of the match is actually the perfect time to make the title change with the team names in it. It gives folks time to watch a replay tonight for a match they missed and really want to see, and they can still scroll through VT without much risk of a result being spoiled.
The day of the match (Friday), I want to be able to look at the OP in this thread and see exactly who's playing who, when, because I can't keep straight who all is playing in which sub-regional.
