I know. Lots of red and gold without much other color going on. not the thread the matches lol Fun fact: In the most recent projected Pablo final RPI list, here are the rankings: #2 Louisville -------------(25-3) #1 ACC #81 Missouri -----------(13-16) #10 SEC #82 South Dakota -------(19-8) #1 Summit #86 Northern Kentucky (18-11) #3 Horizon Weird, right? I don't know what the Pablo predictions are for these matches, ... but I'll guess the Mizzou/USD one could be fun. they are 1-1 so far in this 4-year H-H-H-H tournament series...

Well, from the Louisville perspective I can understand a lack of enthusiasm. This has been a great tournament series for us mid-majors, though. I doubt the Cards will have their RPI harmed any worse than playing the bottom third of the ACC. And look at the bright side: next year the tournament concludes right in your backyard, just an hour or so drive away...
Here's something to liven up the thread:
team mini-hype videos from Twitter...

Ouch! Cards take set 1: 25-10 Madison Harms is on my fantasy team. I played her knowing the Louisville match might get ugly but hoping she could make up for it against Mizzou/Northern Kentucky. I was hoping for at least a tiny bit of production against Louisville.. but... OUCH.

I was hoping for at least a tiny bit of production against Louisville.. but... OUCH. Yeah, pretty disappointing first set. I couldn't watch, of course, but we have settled into using our freshman setter exclusively (that's what Coach Williamson has done in the past, 4-year starters that win SOY). She has mentioned the connection between setter and hitter as the focus of growth right now (defense is an area of strength, esp back row). So I think you will see more production from Harms as the season goes on, if you can be patient. No idea how VB fantasy scores, though. Honestly, I think the Freshman setter (Avery Van Horn) is doing really well, but she will be better.

Cards win in a sweep, 10-16-18
I wasn't expecting to win a set, but I'm glad to see the improvement through the match.
Harms with 4 kills, 4 errors on 12 attempts (.333) - 2 blocks - 5 points

Thank you for sharing the link! I’m hoping we can expect livestreams for the other two matches as well. An unsurprising sweep for the Cards. Exciting to see that the dub-sub wasn’t just done in late sets, but throughout the entire match. Robbins is too good to keep off the court for too long. Also great to see Bankston getting some play time on the left - I’m sure DeBeer is relieved to not have to carry a heavy load (at least until we start facing some higher ranked opponents). Impressive serving from Cresse, Glock, and Petrenko. My hope is that we keep doing the 6-2 and find a groove with that system. Time will tell!
