Just eliminate VNL 2024 and have a last chance qualification tournament for the last 4 bid spots. 6 IOQT+HOST+Africa take up the first 8. Let's say: NED/DOM (Pool A), TUR/BRA (Pool B), USA/ITA (Pool C) qualify directly here. That would mean: Top 4 teams qualify at this 'last-chance' qualification tournament Serbia China Italy Japan Canada Germany Thailand Belgium Czech Republic Bulgaria Argentina Puerto Rico Yes I chose DOM/NED to qualify directly in Pool A to be dramatic - but really, it's more likely that at least one of DOM/NED qualifies over China directly. I much prefer there being a final qualification tournament. Especially compared to using the VNL--which represents typical FIVB incestuousness. |

At least Thailand makes things exciting. Korea is not making it France is host Cameroon is the african representative which must be included for diversity
Nobody really makes it to the olympics based off of zero merit, except perhaps Puerto Rico

Shares are reserved by continent. Thailand must hope that no Asian teams qualify with this tournament and by the end of July 2024 win as many games as possible. they're even further behind China/Japan than DOM/NED. You are right. I got lost by following the wrong reasoning. |
