So discussion is spilling over to other topics? Lol. Not surprising. I admire Stanford as an academic institution and sports program. Funding 36 programs. Wow. So many of outdoor Olympic water variety. Surfer dudes and dudettes sports. Something Nebraska knows very little of. Outdoor sand volleyball is for a break for warmer winter weather for different skill development for our indoor women’s volleyball athletes. Stanford well-off graduates have a lot to fund adequately. Conference affiliation for media rights is a push at best. Certainly well behind The SEC and the Big Ten. Tomorrow Stanford is the solid favorite. Nebraska lost to Stanford in three sets last year, the Cardinal are at home, return seven starters and are now fully healthy with the projected starters. Still GBR. This Neb team is TOTALLY different from last year's team. I love that you ended your post with GBR! I know that. But after tomorrow you can make more definitive analysis. Barring injury, with no seniors and four freshmen playing pivotal roles Nebraska’s season is of the highest ceiling. I think any solid evaluation of Nebraska begins in about thirty hours. Lol. Anything before that is just talking or texting with no real evidence.

Nebraska lost to Stanford in three sets last year, the Cardinal are at home, return seven starters and are now fully healthy with the projected starters. Still GBR. Nebraska lost to Stanford last year in four sets, not three. 27-25, 25-22, 19-25, 27-25 Looking back at that match as well, Nebraska hit for .166. Stanford hit for .211 Kills: Nebraska 50, Stanford 55 Aces: Nebraska 3, Stanford 4 Service Errors: Nebraska 14, Stanford 23 (is that right?) Blocks: Nebraska 10.5, Stanford 10 Assists: Nebraska 45, Stanford 52 Digs: Nebraska 68, Stanford 64 Team Leaders: Kills: Madi Kubik 13, Kendall Kip 15 Blocks: Bekka Allick 5, Sami Francis 5 Assists: Nicklin Hames 19, Kami Miner 41 (this is a game where Anni Evans had 12 and Kennedi Orr had 8) Digs: Madi Kubik 15, Elena Ogilvie 21 Overall, this match was A LOT closer than I recall. I do remember service errors being huge for both sides. Thanks for the correction with my spotty memory. Either way, Stanford is the solid favorite tomorrow. I did not remember we lost two sets by two points. We are less the proven commodity. Tomorrow is easily the best barometer to date of where Nebraska is nationally. Weaknesses and strengths and inconsistencies. If I am a Nebraska fan I would be confident that this Husker team will have the highest potential to improve the most between now and December. Barring injury, I take our roster over anybody else. GBR

Have you never experienced an indoor aquatic center? They have them all over the country. They had them in ancient Rome as well.

An update, both historical and via the SU SID, as of today. Current update: both Kipp and Baird are improving after their respective minor injuries at season's start. Less recovery time...both are near 100%.
Historical: a HUGE difference respective to the end of the past season and now is the health/play of Sami Francis. In 2022's Regional Final vs. USD, she tried to come back injured...and the team was leading 2-1, 24-23 in the 4th set...but an injury to Oglivie and USD's one year influx of talent won out in five.
Nobody with any clear thinking felt they'd be favored against UT (I thought it'd be 3-1 TX). New year! 'Cause some enterprising NU fanatic deleted their post to remove my post above from the top of p.9? Well here it is once more: so that both fanbases can receive more information (even tho it ain't GBR). PS....I had no clue it would end up there; my three-finger typing kinda precludes my aiming for such! It seemed a fairly petty thing to do though; control issues and/or other psychological problems there?

Stanford is known as “The Farm”. I don’t see why these two schools can’t just get along. long ago herby husker was violently executed and things were never the same

Okie dokie, I will accept that: tho' others have done such in the past (I did put a question mark after "p.9"). As far as "thunder" goes, I don't require that. What I do hope for is sportsmanship...along with spicy banter.
