What a stupid challenge by UCF.... up 24-16. Even if you are right (and they are), it's a bad use of a challenge.

I don't understand our right back defense. Our blockers are giving them line and our defense is playing behind the block instead of on the line. At one point Barnes, playing middle back, shifted over so she was almost digging the line. The operative term is almost. If you get a solid double block up, you've been struggling picking up tips (as we are) and if everyone is on the same page, there is some rational sense to the middle back coming up to dig the line. It takes communication and good court sense. But you are right - there is so much about our defense I don't understand. Our back row has some of the slowest feet in D1 volleyball. On at least three occasions I've seen Mosher look to someone else take a second ball she could get to. I truly don't understand it - not a setter's mind set. When I played I accepted hitters getting on my case if I didn't put the ball where they wanted and expected it. I also didn't tolerate someone else stepping up and taking the second ball if I didn't call for help - and if I called for help everyone on the court knew it. We've been looking better. Still a work in progress. |

Wonder what Tamas just said to Eli... Pack your bags?  I totally missed it. I mean if we are hiding Pan in serve receive there is a problem. Collins is passing the best out of all of them. |

Still a work in progress. They are giving so much line it’s crazy! Right back should be digging it. We have a big block and this team isn’t going to hit over us. Barry lets a lot of balls go too. They are all in. Pan is just not that good at serve receive. We don’t have anyone else so not much we can do. |

Mosher has been doing a better job of making Collins reach for the ball when running the middle. Collins getting a lot more on the ball when she is able to straighten her arm.

Our last 5 set win was against Rutgers in October 2021. We were 0-5 last year and are 0-2 so far this year.
