Hot take: Oregon should switch to a 2-man receive again. Let Mimi focus on hitting and have Lewis in the back row as another outlet option. They did it near the end tonight, at least once. But 6-rotations of 2-man would be really tough on Gabby. Yes, it would be. But we're just not getting much out of the third passer, and we very well may net out better if we free up Mimi and also give Hannah another option in those 2-hitter rotations - esp. if the passing is going to be less solid than we became accustomed to under the Brooke/Georgia/(Borup) years. |

I'm hoping someone at the B1G Network will have the clout to tell Oregon next year that they have got to cover that floor.
White lines and a white ball with so much bright yellow as a background with the added brown pubic hairs around it just makes for horrible TV viewing of the sport.

I wanted the Ducks to win, but WSU came out and played cleaner volleyball. Ducks had SO many errors, and when Mimi Colyer and Morgan Lewis are both struggling to terminate, things get tough. Karson and Kara and Gabby kept us in it.
There was a lot of tipping going on, more than I’m used to seeing from the Ducks. I was surprised they weren’t trying to tool/work the block more, but instead they tipped a lot and WSU picked it up easily.

So this match started with a 10-0 WSU run and ended with a 6-0 WSU run?

I love the post match press conferences too. It’s good to hear from Ulmer and the players. I’m hoping this week Mimi and Morgan can get back into a good rhythm with their connection with Hannah’s sets. I think a silver lining of the tough game from Mimi and Morgan was that we got to see the great offense and connection between the middles and Hannah, which is great to see after the Ducks have struggled in the middle for a while.

Just click on Pac-12 Insider and click back on the programs to 12:00 on Sunday. It may also be possible on the other streaming Apps, but I don't use them, so I can't confirm. |
