On Friday, ASU was swept by Stanford. Cal beat Arizona 3-1, ending their 2.5 year losing streak in conference.

Cal will not beat Arizona State. That would be shocking. ASU is very good at serve receive and using many people as weapons. CAL is not that. This will not be CAL's first conference win.

I am pulling for Cal and hope they win Yes, I like Arizona State and am glad they're doing well but Cal has had such a rough few years, I have to root for them. But like both teams. |

Cal takes a close first set 25-23. A bit surprising. Maybe a hangover effect from ASU losing vs Stanford.

OMG. The announcer on the live stream is clueless. Unless they have Don Shaw, the announcers for Cal are usually clueless. I don't think he's been on for a couple of years. It's unfortunate. (Same for Stanford, although if they're on ESPN, the announcers are usually good. Also, I think they've had Nicole Branaugh a couple of times and used to get Rich Feller but most of the announcers don't understand vb) |
