Altho I am happy Hawaii received a No. 9 seed (shows the NCAA knows the quality of this team), I would have preferred the No. 10 seed. If Hawaii beats LMU, they'll need to face USC. Hawaii has struggled more against USC than UCLA.
In any case, we weren't sure how good Hawaii would be starting 0-5, but a BWC Title and autobid in the NCAAs looks and feels so good right now. Can't say enough how happy I am to have seen the progress throughout the year!
Next year might be a huge rebuilding year so Bows need to make a run. First round win would be wonderful all things considered.

Here's the box score when they lost to LMU at the start of the season:
1. Vilhelmiina Prihti/Michelle Shaffer (LMU) def. Jaime Santer/Alana Embry (UH) 21-14, 9-21, 15-13 2. Abby Thorup/Isabelle Reffel (LMU) def. Julia Lawrenz/Anna Maidment (UH) 21-19, 21-14 3. Anna Pelloia/Jacinda Ramirez (LMU) def. Arianna Franklin/Kaylee Glagau (UH) 24-22, 18-21, 15-10 4. Sydney Amiatu/Riley Wagoner (UH) def. Chloe Hooker/Jaeya Brach (LMU) 21-19, 21-17 5. Cassie Chinn/Madi Firnett (LMU) def. Sarah Burton/Pani Napoleon (UH) 20-22, 22-20, 16-14
We know only the 1 and 4 pairings are the same on the UH side. LMU's 1 and 3 pairings are the same as the start of the season.

I am proud of the Beach Wahine, they have had an injury plagued season as well but are peaking at the right time. They lose a lot of talent but I am hearing a lot of great things about their recruiting class, Jordan Brown and the Swiss player will be very good and they are close to adding another very good player. Plus the indoor Wahine staff have been working hard on adding a player who happens to be a strong blocker on the beach as well. A lot of talent to continue to win the Big West in 2025.

Players that made the trip:
Santer, Embry, Glagau, Napoleon, Miller, Maidment, Amiatu, Wagoner, Burton, Lorenzo, Thelle, Ali, Franklin, Mann
We'll see if Evan keeps Lorenzo in or puts Thelle back in the line-up.

A nice video about Sabrina Hardisty and her background and many talents and passions. Even though she didn’t get to play that much, her teammates love her and she is a very sweet person. I’m bummed she didn’t get to travel this year but glad she got to be a Rainbow Wahine!

We seem like we lose all our bigs next year! Who plays with Embry?
I was a little disappointed that we don't have any of the Fab50 recruits for beach coming next year, but if we have some international studs then that explains it.
We have to keep up with Cal Poly and LBSU!

Congrats to Santer & Embry for being named AVCA Second Team All-Americans! Love it! Embry is young and has a lot ahead of her while Santer has been a mainstay and can go out as an all-American!

I wonder if some of the indoor players will get to cross over next year. Geursching could have two years of beach to play? I believe I read somewhere she played in Germany's youth development? She could help o the bigs side of things. I could see Hakas doing well on the beach as well.
