Also, notice Merritt Beason and Lindsay Krause's leadership in that set. Krause with the 2 aces in a row to begin their comeback after like 4 Nebraska players in a row went back and served errors...and Beason finding a way to score when she saw some members of her team were struggling (Beason really started stepping up in that set after Murray and Kubik got swapped, providing a steady presence for Nebraska).

I'm actually surprised this match has been as close as it has. PSUs setting hasn't been great in system or OOS, their passing hasn't been good, they are going to Mruzik like 60% of the time so they are very predictable. They need another hitter to stand up. Nebraska is young and has shown they can get off track with executing their game at times this season. If you miss an important swing, start hesitating on defense, lose focus in serve receive etc. things can spiral. |
