This is the match that takes us out of the top 10 and likely guarantees a non top 4 seed.... I think we've got one more run this set in us. Let's see if it'll be enough. i hope that 2pts wasn't the run. But if we can somehow pull this set off, I think we win the match. Just not looking good. |

Ugh, although ASU is probably my second favorite PAC team (also Arizona), certainly didn’t want this… Over the last 5 seasons, UO is just over the .500 mark against ASU. Something about those Devils. This match may make it even since 2018. In 2018 the Devils also swept the Ducks in Eugene in their first meeting…Oregon went on to the elite 8.
Edit: Yep, just checked 5-5 since 2018 fall and ASU hasn’t been a tournament team in that time.

I'll just point out here that I wrote this yesterday in the OSU match thread: It would be quite amusing if ASU knocks off Oregon and OSU beats Arizona. I am certain nobody had "OSU gets more wins this weekend than Oregon" on their bingo card. |

ASU brought a solid block and scrappy defense today, and the Ducks struggled to put the ball away. There were also a lot of balls that dropped in the center and deep corners (setter dumps especially) that the ducks didn’t pick up.
It seems like when both Mimi and Morgan are struggling to put the ball away, the ducks can’t win. And with only Glover to go in and change things up, that’s hard. She did go in for a bit today and sprayed the first two balls out of bounds. She did get 1 or 2 kills but no blocks.
