Andrea Zorzi!! He's the reason they have the dashed lines outside the court for the 3m line! Because it was so hard to determine if his back row attacks from off the court were crossing the line.

I'm so late to the game, but are there no foreigner restrictions for the Italian Cup? At some point there were 5 foreigners on the court: Plotnytskyi, Semeniuk, Flavio, Sole, Ben Tara. Gianelli/Colaci were the only locals.
If so, what would that mean for the women's side? Some game time for De Kruijf?
Edit: Looks like Sole got italian citizenship in 2022 and is no longer eligible to play for Argentina.

Then he applied for Italian sport citizenship. It was rather funny hearing Clayton Lucas panic over it. I thought it was well-known that Solé did that, especially since he'd been MIA from all the national team tournaments since ghe Olympics.

It's probably a bit too late for him to make the Italian NT, right? Now that Juantorena's done, they've got a spot for repatriation.

Also, Italy is STACKED in the middle position. It's OPP where they fall off hard.

He and Nwakalor are two sides of the same coin.

He can play for Italian NT, but he switched his federation's allegiance to be counted in the league as a local, so he's not interested in doing so. The same applies to Dragan Stankovic. The one name to follow is Rychlicki, who is actually interested in playing for Italy NT and probably will be called-up in the 2025 the latest. There are efforts to have him in Paris actually and shorten his 2-year suspension period (that ends at the end of this year), but it seems unlikely given what the president of Italian federation said in the weekend.
