Based on transfer rumors, I'm actually really sad. This Milano team always look like they have a lot of fun playing with and for each other. I'm also very concerned (again based on transfer market) that they may not be a great superlega representative in Champions League next year. Regardless, really cool that Reggers and Porro likely get to play in the CL sandbox next season. Great season for Powervolley!
Meanwhile, Trentino may well win CL this year...and not get the chance to defend. Yeesh.

Just got to watch the replay and geez Ishikawa played out of his mind today. Probably the best match I have seen him play this season. He has to be one if not the best and most well rounded players in the world!!! I am sad that we won’t see him in the Italian league next season.
I wonder who Milano will try to get to replace him next season. Any rumor?

I wonder who Milano will try to get to replace him next season. Any rumor? I think the rumored OHs are Gardini, Otsuka and Louati. Then KK stays. Which I don't believe are good choices considering they are going to be a CL team now. |

I was genuinely thinking the same thing after the match yesterday! Ishikawa has to have been the best OH in the Italian league this year. I couldn't think of another player who was more well-rounded and clutch for their team. Maybe Michieletto but even he hasn't reached Yuki's level of defense, passing, creative OOS play. I definitely think Ishikawa is Top 5, maybe even Top 3 OH in the world at the moment. I'm gonna miss him playing for Milano next year too 😭😭😭 |

He's not the caliber of OH that Ishikawa or Ran are, but I'm gonna love watching him in the Italian league. Gardini would be such a waste. Can't pass, not consistent enough with his offense. They need a player who can terminate from the left at the rate Ishikawa did. Unless they plan to go full Reggers Ball and utilize Otsuka/Kaziyski for their passing. |
