It goes 3 or 5... I don't see this ending in 4. At Devaney, I give the edge to the Huskers... most of these girls have never lost to WI. So, what you are saying, is the Wisconsin upperclassmen need to educate the Nebraska freshmen on how this rivalry works. I'm not sure this "never have I ever..." game is one Husker fans really want to play. "Never have I ever won a Big Ten Championship". True for these Husker players, not true for twelve of the Badger players. "Never have I ever won a National Championship". True for these Husker players, not true for seven of the Badger players.

I admire and enjoy well played women's volleyball. This match should be one of those matches. Two excellent coaches that I don't particularly like.

This Nebraska team hasn't faced true adversity yet. Wisconsin has. Nebraska has played stanford, Kentucky, purdue, Penn state, and minnesota wisco has played florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Baylor, and Marquette I dont think its fair to say wisco has faced true adversity and Nebraska hasn't, especially when you look at the top opponents they've played this year... Stanford is ranked 3rd.

Three weeks ago Nebraska was winning this match up but the serving issues can’t happen for them to win Saturday. If Nebraska misses more than 15 serves Wisconsin wins. If they keep it under 8 I think they win.

I keep seeing this "this Husker team hasn't lost to Wisconsin" stuff and it makes no sense to me. Nebraska has talent to burn. So does Wisconsin. Wisconsin is the more experienced team. This Nebraska team hasn't faced true adversity yet. Wisconsin has. I'm hoping for a Husker win, but until we actually beat Wisconsin, I'm not putting any stock in our chances. Obviously you are correct. Every stat - every match/game - every anything has shown that Wisconsin should win. What adversity would be enough for you for a group of majority freshman? It's pretty impressive to me that they are 17-0 and I believe they have met every challenge they have faced. The majority of the players should feel pretty confident because they haven't lost to Wisconsin. Anna Smrek won a national championship. I don’t follow Wisconsin all that closely but she's not the only player on their roster with a ring. It's not just this season. I wouldn't trade any of our players for theirs. I'm just saying their roster is very talented, older and more experienced. That's objectively true.

I step away for 2 hours to take a Covid-induced nap, and come back to a meme-a-thon? LOL

If they keep it under 8 I think they win. I'm guessing under 8 would be one of the best Husker serving matches of the season. If they are able to do it, I'm wondering out loud [ certainly don't know the answer] if that would tip the balance between "tough serving" and accuracy too far toward accuracy and allow The Badgers to stay in system more often. Many, many subplots in this one. As Sheffield said in his presser today "It's only mid-October ... and we will certainly learn a lot about our team".

Jocelyn Boyer played significant amount of time during the 2021 season, but not in the NCAAs.

Devyn was also in the final 4, though playing at MB. unclear if she will play Saturday. Izzy was a serving sub/DS. Reed wasn't suited. Hammill and Boyer on the bench. The current players who weren't on that team are Franklin, TTA, Booth, GG, CC, Wrobel, McCaa and Damrow.

They also include MJ Hammil, Izzy Ashburn, Devyn Robinson, Sydney Reed, and Joselyn Boyer. Smrek, Orzol, and Robinson played a big role on the 2021 team. Izzy Asburn was a serving sub for Dana Rettke. Smrek, Orzol, and Robinson still play big roles, and Asburn and Hammil now share the setting job. Sydney Reed and Joselyn Boyer are still mostly reserve DS players.
