Goldey-beacom (d2, de) is looking for a head coach. Weird that the old head coach became the assistant and the assistant became the head coach 2 years ago. Last coach went 2-48 over 2 years. 0-20 this year with only 5 sets won. It is a PT position paying 15k for the season |

Not sure this is the place to post this but I'm looking for some coaching for a college player in the Chicagoland area - West suburbs - over the summer. Do you mean you are a college player looking to be a coach over the summer or you are a college player looking to receive coaching over the summer? |

Was informed by a family of a former player in the program that two seasons ago the old coach was diagnosed with a serious illness and had to step away from the HC position. The assistant coach was elevated, and the HC was able to return in a limited capacity, but he is still dealing with the medical situation. Obviously it was a very difficult circumstance. I do not know anything about the school or the program other than that info. |

Are you suggesting that being a smaller private college in the Big 10... -which is going to have to pay piles of money to settle or go to trial on more than 50 hazing lawsuits, as well as various wrongful termination lawsuits. -which is likely going to be seeing a new AD before long, who may want their own hire in your position -which is the most expensive institution in the league for walk-ons -which has a historical winning % of .373 in conference -which has no natural geographic base, no weather advantage, and a limited alumni pool. -may be graduating 6 seniors including 3 of top 4 scorers and their setter. that such a school may not be a premier job and may in fact take a few years to get back to where it is let alone make forward progress? I think I'd rather be the coach after this next coach, but it's a big 10 job so they won't lack for money in the next decade. You have the one year of grad transfers until you get settled, Chicago is still a really strong area for talent and you can recruit anywhere. I can think of worse jobs. |

My daughter is a college player - she's a middle looking for some coaching over the summer. She's got a job lined up but if you know of any summer coaching job that may be something she would be interested in as well. |
