Gonna be very interesting to see how UCLA-Wazzu and USC-Washington go on Sunday. Lots of momentum for USC and UCLA whose tournament chances both skyrocketed tonight.

Dang, I guess Washington State was close to missing the tournament then too. they definitely had some sunday scaries! although they absolutely DESTROYED us in sets 4 and especially 5, so I think they made their point lol. doesn’t one of the rankings go off points or something? I think they outscored us by 13 points that match

After going up 2-0 on Louisville, Wake Forest scored 27 points total in sets 3-5. It's obviously good to be able to turn things around, but this Louisville team needs to get their sh*t together. Play like that against most power five teams, and you're dead in the water 0-3.

Let’s not forget they’ve swept Washington St, Penn St, Kentucky, and Pitt. So yes, they can play well and they can play poorly. Sports.

Scores have certainly implied they've played down to the level of their opponent several times this season. Wright State, Boston College, NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest. For comparison, Pitt played UNC, BC and and NC State, swept all three and allowed an average of only 16.4 points per set. That being said, when they are dialed in for a top opponent, they've looked ELITE.

If you can go 2.5 sets keeping a team to 27, you didn't play well in the first two sets. Sorry.

Texas St beat South alabama again and CC beat JMU again... seems like a disaster weekend for the sun belt? trojansc

But saying that they’d lose to most p5 opponents like that is a bit silly because they just pulled it off against a mid-tier p5 opponent quite easily. So I bet they could do that against a lot of p5 opponents, if not most.

I'll have to see how high Coastal's/Texas State's RPI could get. Coastal still has Texas State(x2) and South Alabama(x2) + Sun Belt Tournament.
