Say what you will about the weak field here (fair), but these quarterfinals look pretty exciting to me! (Especially after a few particularly poorly attended challenges) I don't know how anybody could say it is a weak field. Teams 1 and 4 in WR are missing, but the rest of the Top 10 is playing. I will post Olympic Rankings using 9 finishes later today, and you'll see that using that ranking also shows this is a strong field. I mean the World Champions and 3rd ranked team in the world (using average finish) were eliminated in Quarters. Your use of were would seem to indicate you are saying two teams ranked highly went out in the quarters, but Swedes, US, and Vikes are the other 3, so I think you meant to refer just to the Czechs? Teams 1 and 4 being out is a big deal. Essentially 25% of the main draw was missing (Adrian/Alex are the third team) Those three teams also represent almost half of this year's Elite 16 podium finishers. This wasn't anything close to as weak as last year's end of season Elites (anyone remember Krou winning one) but it was probably the weakest Elite of the year
