Yup. I don't see a realistic path for them. I agree they're out today, but "no realistic path" is a bit of an overstatement. I think if they finish 7-1 with a loss to Wisconsin, they'll be squarely on the bubble. They'll be really light on wins, have a marginal RPI and poor SOS, and have H2H losses to 3 other bubble teams being considered. I don't think that's enough. Their remaining RPI SOS is poor, so any wins won't help them have too much upside. RPI Futures had them at 55 with 10 losses (which is your projected record).

I think Indiana would have to be 7-1 with a win over Wisconsin to get in. 7-1 with a loss means they'll probably be out, but will be in the conversation.
But, I think looking at Indiana going 7-1 when they just lost to Northwestern and Illinois is extremely unlikely as it is.

Here comes the Big ten middle of the season upsets where everyone ruins each other's chances of making the tourney I mean, Indiana wasn't in position to make the tourney before Big Ten play. They only appeared to be in contention because of the weakness of the mid/bottom and a win over Purdue. Ya it’s a down year across the board for the conference unfortunately… but the same thing tends to happen every year, teams like Illinois, Northwestern or Michigan love to snag those upsets mid to late season
