CAL POLY's coach Walters IMO is playing the odds.
Falling at home to UH two weeks ago 1-3, POLY is looking for some revenge.
But, more realistically looking to exploit weaknesses in the Wahine's game.

I'm hoping again that Paula and Riley switch positions so that Paula is the OH1. Having Riley in two front row rotations with only two attackers isn't the answer, and the rotation with her up there with Kennedi is particularly weak.

I prefer the look of the Cal Poly jerseys to Hawaii's standard jerseys. It's simple and clean.

I truly believe, it is not so much whether Riley is OH1, or OH2, but more about who will keep the ball in play on their serve while Amber is in the Front row. That is the reason why you see Tayli Ikenaga, Paula Guersching, and Caylen Alexander serving while Amber is in the Front row. Riley Wagoner tends to either serve into the net, or long, for the reason she does not serve while Amber is on the floor. Serving into the net, or long, does not allow Amber to score a point for the Wahine Team. In other words, the Wahine miss an opportunity to score a point, with Amber in the Front Row. |
