Bertolino is scary behind the service line. Super impressive. If I was in their section of the bracket for the tournament I’d be terrified. If GT continues to play like they did last night they’re going to be a major threat in the tourney. |

If GT continues to play like they did last night they’re going to be a major threat in the tourney. yes, gt will upset some teams in the tournament...i like gt more this season than last season (they are more well balanced & have a great team chemistry)...plus as a texas fan dee pierce is doing amazing...she was more of a practice player/walk-on @ texas (she played in one set that i can remember in '21 against texas tech when asjia fell sick & she appeared pretty timid)...she has come into her own...i'm proud of her & rooting for her (great story here) |

Bertolino is becoming Monique Mead with control at the service line. Bertolino now tied with Mead at #7 on Tech's single season aces list at 56. Julia Bergmann had 64 in 2019 for the rally-scoring era record.

Four way tie for #1 in the ACC now. The fact that Stanford is going to be in this conference next year too… Yeah, but traveling east across three timezones will be difficult for them. Traveling west is generally considered to be easier for a visiting team. Stanford coach Kevin Hambly mentioned at his chalk talk last night that they might have to stay in the Eastern Time Zone if they have back to back road match weekends. |
