If a net is called on FSU - and the play was stopped because of that - then the point should be replayed. Maybe. It's a subjective decision as to whether the inadvertent whistle affected the play. For example, if an attacker sails the ball into the bleachers, but a net is whistled on the blocker before the ball landed, then a successful challenge of no net would still result in a point. Here, it seemed like the ball went straight to the floor, right? I didn't think Miami had a play on the ball. So even though the net might've been whistled just before the ball hit the ground, the early whistle didn't warrant a replay.

Not the same at FIVB - but I know things aren't the same re: challenges I do think the R1+R2 might be in over their heads anyways, even if the decision was 'correct'

Miami leads 18-17 in the 4th trying to push it to 5... T/O Florida State if FSU fumbles their 2-1 lead to basically guarantee a share of the ACC title when they aren’t even ranked and there are 3 top ten acc teams… the meme potential is so high if they win the conference I need it

OMG I wonder if Miami can recover from losing that point. The bump kill was definitely the dagger that there was no coming back from.
