Oh bummer for UCLA to lose that one. I had a feeling they would have a let down after their 5 set loss to Stan. Then add in not having Dodson. Just too much to overcome. Good job to CAL.

Well, perhaps the committee will be kind. Olson, good set, kinda softly throws it over, and well, Cal converted.
However, don't forget that if UCLA sweeps next weekend, then they still finish 5-3, and are probably in.
I think they are still are in contention to get in. A bubble team though. |

I think they are still are in contention to get in. A bubble team though. If Dobson is good to go, they have a decent chance to sweep... maybe 30-40%. Not having Dobson is the absolutely worst thing that could have happened today. |

Can't believe we are going to end the year with a winning record. What a turnaround. Currently at 5 conference wins, up from 0 in 2021 and 22. And three of the losses were 2-3, including going 2-3 with ASU and Oregon. They were so much better this season. Congratulations to the Bears! |

Why did Cal VB drop off so drastically over recent years? Seems like with their bonafides they should at least be able to be consistently mid-pack. Moving to the ACC - a good VB conference, but will that help or hurt? They were already in a good VB conference and now the travel is often twice or more as far.
