Is Rader out for the rest of the season? What about Hoffman? I'm pretty sure Rader is out for the season. Not sure about Hoffman

Who was that team out there tonight? (That question could probably have been asked about both teams.)

Just got home and looking at scores. Score blows my mind. I know OSU has dropped off this year and MN already beat them, but still, I would not expect that score at all.

With an Illinois loss, no. trojansc seems to think we could lose the next two and still probably get in, EE thinks we need to win against IL to get in. Who knows. Let's just win so we dont have to find out. I'd say MN needs to beat IL to "definitely" get in. They still "could" get in with a loss to IL, but hopefully they'll avoid the "we won't know until selection day" aspect of that situation.

Can someone explain why MNs RPI would drop after a loss to Iowa? I get they are not good, but not understanding why you would fall in the rankings because a conference opponent is bad?

RPI is your winning percentage, opponents' winning percentage and opponents' opponents' winning percentage. Iowa has lost a lot of matches and played teams that lost a lot.

Cue up the last five points of the first set
After TayLa's jump stab/dig
On the very next play (I think) TayLa had another dig/save followed by Wookie with a tremendous slide getting back to the net. Her infectious laughter, even though the point was lost, was one of the highlights of the season imo.
The saddest part of my day was getting home to find the game did not get recorded....boo hoo.
MN points:
35 Kills 9 Aces 11 blocks 8 OSU SEs 11 OSU HEs 1 BHE 75
a few years ago we had a baby rabbit that some animal had mauled and left barely alive in the backyard but you have to feel sympathy for tOSU's dis integration(sic). it WAS painful to watch
I wouldn't say, though, that this victory was bittersweet... it was gratifying to see MN cohesive and outperforming Wookie unblocked and no HEs 8 0 20 .400 Phoebe just locked in with 11 block assists including 4 on Londot 2 only 2 reception errors 9 aces only 3 SEs 9 assists from other than Shaff on 23 set attempts .393 5 assists from Murr on 10 sets

Healthy setter, solid serve receive and a back row defensive reinforcement makes a world of difference.
Nobody wants to see this weekend's Gopher team in their NCAA tournament section.

Chemistry seems great too. Not that it ever didn’t as I always believe these girls were friends. But it just seems to have something a bit special right now.

Ehman oddity to Murr, “you (Minnesota) stayed locked in for 75 points. . . .”, might be a compliment if they hadn’t played 122 points. . . 🏐 115, but who's counting.

Rotation 1 Study
very frustrating to detail the six instances of reception in ro1 only to have the post evaporate
at 5-3 in set 1 Grote went cross country (TayLa stacked on left behind Grote & Phoebe). The slide connection missed but Londot was blocked at 14-10 Grote stayed on the left and got a FBSO when her drive was blocked back to our side but it caromed all the way across the court and OOB
at 1-1 in set 2 Grote got a 2BSO after a missed middle set connection to Phoebe could only be ineffectively tipped at 22-8 TayLa, now lined up on the RS got a FBSO
at 8-3 in set 3 TayLa was dug on a hard drive on the RS and on the return Londot was blocked at 19-11 Grote was dug twice on the left after good swings but Phoebe was blocked on the 3B for the only point OSU scored all match at 19-12 OSU had a SE
in Columbus OSU had 11 aces... only 2 on Saturday after every reception Shaff had multiple options it was gratifying to watch the Gophers utilize multiple configurations and varied set targets You can't send your OPP (Grote) on a cross court jaunt if you don't trust the passing...a traffic jam mid court behind the attack line would be very embarrassing not to say dangerous also good were the attacks by TayLa on the RS. None of them were feeble.
