Semi-finals RPI Adj. data: from stats.ncaa.org as of all matches 11/24/23 UCSB vs. Beach: - Before: UCSB RPI Adj. 36; Beach RPI Adj. 67. - After: UCSB RPI Adj. 38; Beach RPI Adj. 60. Hawai'i vs. CP: - Before: Hawaii RPI Adj. 61; CP RPI Adj. 94. - After: Hawaii RPI Adj. 56; CP RPI Adj. 97. Historically, NCAAT at-large last-in have been in the RPI mid-to-low 40's. Very rarely a team in the low 50's gets in, and Teams in mid-30s have been left out/overlooked. ------------------------------------------------ KPI is now a primary criteria. Will the selection committee weigh it equally w/RPI?...TBD. bump KPI rank data updated as of 11/25 (all matches through 11/24): KPI BEFORE Semi-finals: UCSB: 28; Hawaii: 50; Beach: 63; CP: 100 KPI AFTER Semi-finals: UCSB: 29; Hawaii: 49; Beach: 58; CP: 106

I think to use a basketball analogy.
SB's loss probably moved them from an 8/9 seed to a 9/10 seed
the committee now has a convenient entry to just put the winner of Beach/Hawaii at an 11/12 seed
interesting that Hawaii is now close to USC in KPI, and holds that 2-0 head to head, and with a top 25 win over FSU. unfortunately, it's a fine line that Liberty or TCU loss may prove to be the difference, along with Beach's loss to North.
UCSB will go to Palo Alto. A very possible rematch with Pepperdine. Hawaii - Beach winner to either Oregon, Arizona State, or BYU

I've enjoyed this tournament so much. Fans have been treated to 4 great volleyball matches with high stakes.
Of course I'd love a Hawaii win but the Beach have worked so hard all year and deserve a chance to go dancing.
Go Bows!

Is there a better site than that?

Hawaii’s mentality needs to be dialed in. This is going to be a huge home court advantage for Beach.

Kendra Ham was the player of that match. So happy to see her playing such a tremendous role last night. She has been such a versatile player. Happy to see her getting kills at opp. She actually got an old Beach fan near me cheering for her. “All right 18!” “There’s 18 again!” 😄

I enjoyed Cal Poly's post-match interview the most. Caroline sounds like a great coach to play under. UCSB, Hawaii and Long Beach have been considered the main powers of the conference this season but Cal Poly was the darling. I enjoyed watching their season ending run during the second half conference play. Up until that interview, I only saw the scary side of Walters. 😄 The Big West in good hands with her, Jones, Hildebrand and Robyn.

Or was it 2019? On the final point they overreached on the final point. She was PISSED
