UCSB thinking how did we lose to this team? Other coaches are like: "Why didn't we serve Chacon more?" Chacon is a Jr. They'll probably still have their chance. |

The Wahine athletes did amazing but I chalk this win up to Robyn and her staff. Whatever they did since the UCSB loss and even from last night to tonight, has been noteworthy.
Robyn has earned her pay and some extra Manu's for her efforts.

Has anyone ever seen a coach remove a lib from serve receive and keep on court? Not one that's still employed.

Wow! The 'Bows were well prepared for this tournament. Kudos to the coaches for getting the team ready and the players for executing at a high level. Can't wait to see who they play in the NCAAs. Go 'Bows!

So happy for these girls! It has been a roller-coaster ride but they came together when it mattered the most! Now time to continue that play and make some noise in the NCAA's!

I think this match was won in part last week when Beach receiving went south in that 1st set debacle, with Hawaii getting the 2nd seed following that 1st set epic comeback. That 1st set comeback has got Hawaii tee-ing off pretty much ever since.
Hawaii played so well covering blocks early and some great libero digs.
But when Chavira netted that serve at 24-24 1st set it seemed the match was over.
whether no energy or being shot from the WEd/Thurs matches or whatever, the receiving was about as bad as it could be for Beach.
Hawaii really handled Glenn's serve well and Beach could not get any traction from that.
Hawaii should do well in the NCAAs, if they can keep receiving like they have the last few matches.
