I think having the final match in a separate thread would be optimal. The back to back matches in the same thread worked fine, but it seemed easier to get a little lost when it came to the final match. Thanks for all the hard work.

Question for next year... was having the entire tournament (all 5 matches) in a single VT thread "good", "okay", "bad" or "terrible"? I would have rather had separate match threads, but it did make for some interesting interactions. (i.e. ___ went 5 tonight, they're going to be tired for ___ tomorrow) that created some narratives we may not have seen otherwise.

I didn't think I could like Amber more, but watching the post-game conference and seeing her put her MVP trophy under the table is MVP stuff. Going to miss Amber in so many ways.

It would be cleaner to look through all the comments knowing what game is being talked about. I did like having the post saying the teams to divide which match is the next to be watched.

Awesome to see Makua Marumoto, who was once on the Warrior VB team, in the crowd (he is seen at the 15-5 mark in Set 3)

It was nice seeing the wahine so focused and Riley going all out ;-) with a few timely tips in between! I kinda felt bad for the Beach libero, I’m shocked she wasn’t replaced!!! The Wahine kept the pressure on for the entire match! This entire season I didn’t see this team making it past the first round if they made it to the dance.. if they play like they did last night and they get a nice subregional I can see them getting to the sweet sixteen!!!

One player nobody really talks about, but who had an outstanding match also is Tayli Ikenaga. She was all over the back row, not to mention diving all over the floor. To me anyway, Tayli Ikenaga was the missing piece to the puzzle of this Wahine Team. 1,000% Tayli more than stepped up. Loved watching the bombs she was digging and the serves she was returning.

please note, don't do whatever Hawaii fans suggest
Hawaii fans: these players and coach suck
Reality: they win
Hawaii fans: a BWCT will screw us
Reality: a BWCT bailed out Hawaii and boosted UCSB's resume, and had compelling matches.
Hawaii fans: a BWCT should only be held in Hawaii because of blah blah blah blah
Reality: a BWCT in SoCal provides the most even level playing field and excitement across the board vs. a one sided HCA, even if it will be lower overall attendance - the back and forth of fan support and excitement between fans simply can't be matched at what happens at the Pyramid or Bren. it simply can't
and now for all the swarmy responses to the above!
