I would love that placement for Minnesota. From your thread to the committee's ears! Play Pitt in the 2nd round? No thanks. Or do you just like the 1st round matchup? I'd rather be in the PITT region than any of the others (sometimes because of the top seed, sometimes for the geographic location (as a fan)). Then, assuming that I can't shuffle the top 16 seeds, I'd rather travel to Pittsburgh than to BYU, Oregon, or Arkansas.

KENTUCKY?!Ugh we barely beat them last time and that was before DeLeye found her Beast Mode 😠Girl you are Purdue... I wouldn't look past a Wright State team who pushed Louisville early in the season and almost beat Texas A&M too.

Of all your brackets up to this point, this is the one I least agree with. I see Wisconsin as a Top 4 seed.
Kentucky in the Top 8? Not with 7 losses.
You have A&M being flown to Wisconsin when they can be a drive-in to Texas. Flip them with Auburn and that's all good.

Kentucky is gonna be like 6 in the rpi with a 3-1 record vs the other SEC top 8 contenders and a BUNCH of top 50 wins if they beat Arkansas on Wednesday

I can't remember there being a Top 8 national seed with 7 losses in the past; maybe there has been. What I recall hearing from past committees is something like "it's great to schedule a lot of tough teams, but you have to win more than you lose".

So who doesn't get the other seed - Pittsburgh or Louisville? 6/7 Kentucky losses are To Top 10 teams, and they have really good wins. If Kentucky is top 8 - it's because they are 3-1 vs. Tennessee/Arkansas and 2-0 vs. Florida. Kentucky will end up with only 1 loss outside the top 10-ish, and it will be somewhere in the 45-65 range. You are correct on A&M though. I had a slight S-Curve movement in that grouping (WKU/JMU/A&M/Auburn) and forgot to put A&M to Texas. it's very likely that A&M or SMU could end up on the same line as Texas (possibly both, which gets interesting)

BIG Match tomorrow:
Bowling Green at Western Michigan. If Bowling Green wins tomorrow, then Western Michigan is on the bubble. I think they'd get left out.
Tuesday:
MVC Semifinals (Drake and Northern Iowa play TBD teams, both are on the bubble)
High Point at TCU (would be really good for TCU to win this match, but maybe not necessary?)

I am surprised nobody has mentioned it yet - but of all the seeding decisions - I was really unsure about Kansas.
Kansas does not have a 'Top 5 win' like: Washington State, BYU, Florida, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech all do.
But Kansas has more overall Top 50 wins than all of those schools, and equals all of their Top 25 wins. Kansas is also in a decent position in RPI. They also have a H2H win over BYU. Complicated.

Pittsburgh seems to have the better numbers of Top 25 (2 more) and Top 50 (3 more) wins compared to Louisville; and, the higher RPI. So, I would think Louisville would be out of the Top 4. Louisville's numbers seem the worst among them, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin. What made you put Louisville above Wisconsin? RPI| Team | Conf|RpiPct| W-L | Top25|Top50| 1 Nebraska BIG10 0.7318 27-0 9-0 10-0 2 Stanford PAC 0.7257 24-3 7-3 10-3 3 Pittsburgh ACC 0.7194 23-4 7-3 13-4
4 Louisville ACC 0.7078 23-4 5-3 10-4
