Not sure it matters whether the sport is SEC sponsored. I believe technically what the SEC Network owns is the Tier 3 rights of every school in the conference. If that is accurate, then it would also own the rights to the non-SEC sponsored sport events where the rights belong to a conference school. This is something I'm not sure about. The SEC does own the exclusive Tier 3 rights for every school. However, can the SEC own the rights to a sport they don't sponsor? I don't know so I can't say for sure. And we're not gonna know until it actually comes time to actually watch them somewhere either. Pretty positive that the SEC does not own the Tier 3 rights. They are owned by the SEC Network (ESPN). They don't buy rights to a sport, but the rights to televise all Tier 3 sports events hosted by each school in the conference. The only rights that belong to the conference itself are conference championships.

Tennessee and Alabama are in the Big 12 for Women’s Rowing. If the B12 were to televise their conference meet, would they have to get permission from the SEC to show the TN and AL boats or just blur them out? The Big 12 doesn't have to get permission to show the boats from the SEC schools. This is similar to any event. The host school (conference in the case of conference championships) owns the TV rights.

As I understand it, if the SEC Network doesn't exercise it's rights to televise a UT sporting event, LHN may do so. My understanding is that LHN is no longer in the business of televising live events. It is only showing replays of events in the LHN archives. You’re correct! The Longhorn Network (LHN) has transitioned to the SEC and will now broadcast games and visuals as the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and ESPN take over broadcasting rights. As you said, LHN won’t show live sporting events or competitions, as the SEC still holds the rights to those events. Instead, LHN will be the exclusive outlet for Texas Athletics’ original content, including highlights, behind-the-scenes material, coaches’ shows, and interviews with UT athletes.

Being dead serious, if you have two incredible opposites and great setters such as we, If Madi and Akana can control our ball control does anyone think a 6’2 can win a national championship or is there not enough stability throughout, opinions? This doesn’t just mean Texas if anyone can pull it off does it work ?

This doesn’t just mean Texas if anyone can pull it off does it work ? tbh I’m not as opposed as I was months ago, as I’ve said a couple times I think. my pros and cons list pros: • takes pressure off of the two new middle blockers blocking wise AND offensively • would be able to use our strongest six servers (not sure what combo of Carlson/Swindle/Whitney has the best serves but we could leave Whitney/Swindle in that extra half rotation so Whitney could serve and Ella will be more than fine at the net if it’s them two) • our blocking would be much better than it would be if Carlson was a 5-1 setter • takes offensive pressure off of Jenna cons: • instability in sets • we lose the ability to free Madi to have a full head of steam on her bics in serve receive as she will HAVE to pass 6ro • Akana gets moved to middle back instead of right back which we haven’t really seen her play much of before • could be occasional sub issues but we have a luxury because I’m comfortable with Jenna, Carlson, and Rutherford playing 6ro in an absolute pinch like that • when the hell was the last time a 6-2 won a natty lol can people think of other pros and cons other than those lol

If the B12 were to televise their conference meet, would they have to get permission from the SEC to show the TN and AL boats or just blur them out? They were. Not Anymore. And the Big 12 already added some affiliate members to replace them and get back up to 6 teams. The 4 SEC rowing teams are done with the Big 12. Dave O'Neill has said "they'll figure something out" for the SEC in his 3rd and Longhonr interview a couple of weeks ago. I don't know what the plan is and neither does Texas yet, but it's not as part of the Big 12. In NCAA rowing, there is no conference schedule, just a handful of invitationals across the country and then the conference championship. If you only have 4 teams, you don't get an AQ to the championship for winning the conference. Texas is virtually guaranteed an at-large appearance by virtue of their performances and rankings so they don't need the AQ. Tennessee is probably in the same boat. Alabama and OU are there for Title IX rather than competitive reasons. That all makes the conference championship rather pointless. You'd only race it for the sake of racing it. So no one's even that worried about it. If no one's that interested in the conference championship then there's not really even a need to sponsor it. Just let all 4 be independents that can race if they want to.
