19-16-64 from our left sides tonight
A&M is a good blocking team, but that wont cut it

I think this is a good win for the team. We haven't had a grind-it-out ugly win yet this season, and I like the fight they showed to close it out Sets 3 and 4 (even if I didn't like the play that put them into that position). A&M was never going to make it easy on them, and Texas just won a hard-fought match where 9K people were doing coordinated cheers against them. Also, good to see Madi come in clutch at the end of those sets.
I'm looking forward to rewatching when I can better enjoy it instead of being so nervous for 2 hours I almost break off my dip nails.

I was wrong, good win. The left sides and MB's are still areas that need to improve. Madi has to play better and the block needs to show up.

I don’t like this 6-2. Usually when teams run 6-2’s, they have either high kill and efficiency numbers or really good blocking numbers. We have neither. Carlson is not in the front row and we’re still not blocking. I noticed we go on more scoring runs when Carlson is in and the team looks more calm when Carlson is in. As a person who’s been critical of Kahahawai, I am so glad and happy to see her happy on the court and doing well but it makes you wonder if it really is the setting. She is really blossoming and I loved how Wenaas was struggling and Carlson kept feeding the hot hand which was Kahahawai. Also Carlson had a couple of chef kiss sets to Madi tonight that had me like WOW. Averi Carlson - 74 assist, 23 digs Ella Swindle - 51 assist, 16 digs I don’t think we will win a 3 peat with a 6-2. Akana is not used to playing middle back. And our back row attack is completely non existent. I wonder how long he’s actually going to go with this 6-2. if we don’t go 6-2, we probably don’t win today. the only people scoring were the right sides

Madi was picked on defensively in earlier matches when she was back row— but Ayden even more so tonight. The difference was zero BIC. It has been such and effective and demoralizing weapon and we seem to have given up on it. What am I missing?

Melt down. o-who played Florida and was leading the 5th 10-5. They managed to lose 15-13. Has to be demoralizing

I’m curious to see how she responds and snaps out of it. Right now, it seems like she’s not handling well having so much attention on her as an athlete on and off the court.

I am glad that other players are stepping up in the absence of Madi’s usual production.

I wonder if Madi is struggling in practice too. if she is, do we seriously consider benching her a couple matches and give her a reset before Florida?
