This team is incredibly painful to watch. First off what’s going on with Madi? The team needs to get her working with sports psychologists because she seems to be in such a funk the girl can’t get a kill to save her life. I have faith in her. Where is the block? Sometimes we aren’t there, sometimes our blocking form is atrocious, and it’s just shocking that this hasn’t improved AT ALL when it definitely neeeds to be a focus at practice. Serving. I served harder than more than half the team when I was in 7th grade. A&M got so many middle attacks partially due to us not getting them out of system (granted they were even able to get kills on oos balls due to our lack of blocking and %*$# passing). Passing passsing passing. Texas is notoriously bad at passing. At this point I’m surprised they haven’t Brought in a staff member to help develop our passing. Emma can’t carry the team, Akana was shanking balls left and right, we need a third little back there at times. Idk if the 6-2 is it as our hitting efficiency is %*$#. I love swindle and her block is strong, but I think Carlson is having the better connection at this point. Mari - i could choke this girl at many times. Blocking she is slow as hell, she has only one real shot so she is predictable as hell and easy to block. I’ll give it to her that the setting to her isn’t always great but damn someone needs to teach her to read the court and blockers (and she has been at texas for three years at this point) Tipping - someone needs to teach these girls how to tip properly and also use the block when tipping. If I see that pathetic two handed set one more time over the net I’m gonna lose my %*$# (Jenna I’m talking to you) Speaking of Jenna - I try to be nice because the internet bullies her but seriously how were you a top ranked player and have little to no range in your shot variation. Can barely tool the block. Gets stuffed 90% of the time. Back row defense isn’t too bad but your serve receive is %*$# majority of the time. I need to know why coach never pulls you out - even if it’s for a few plays he should put in Byrd or whit. We shall see what end of year looks like. Hopefully they pull it together like they did last year. hoping this is Karch or John Cook burner account. With all of your knowledge you must surely be running your own top program somewhere. |

The players learned last year that if they trust the process, great things will happen. Hopefully, fans learn this year.

I will trust the process… I guess I just wanted Madi to get national player of the year and with performances like yesterday… that’s not gonna happen which makes me really sad bc that girl is the best player in the country. I’m sure she’s gonna get out of her funk in the next few weeks (we all remember how Logan faired her last year at Texas, uncanny resemblance) and when that happens… I think I’ll cry! Also, I’m honestly thinking we try a 5-2 just so Ella can go over on 2 and cut team’s momentum runs! I also want Reagan to play 6 rotations bc her back row attack can be lethal too! But I trust what’s happening! Very similar to last year!

Everybody calm down - except you mln59, please stay nervous AF (thank you for your service). Last night was a gritty road win in front of the most hostile crowd the team will ever face (including if we play Nebraska). Obviously there are things the team should work on but I'm satisfied with that. |

Someone will have to refresh my memory, but I don't see the similarities between Eggleston in 2022 and Skinner in 2024 as far as on-the-court struggles. Eggleston had less than a handful of matches where her passing was not up to par; I believe those were like 3/4 of the way into the Big 12 conference season. Other than that, she played 6 rotations just about every match. Everyone on the team have a different role from last year. Texas fans don’t have no faith seem Like in the team. We have 2 months before the tournament, allow them to work through the struggles. I would hate to be a texas player reading these comments from texas fans. Support the team with positivity. Let JE do his job. Dang yall are cruel to these young women. Then when they win another championship everyone will be praising this team. We saw what they did last year, let them work out their kinks. |
