Just a friendly reminder that Texas was up 19-9 when Carlson and Kahahawai rotated out and the team was hitting .350. When they rotated back in, the score was 23-23. We lost the set 23-25 and hit .119 Friendly? Bless your little teeny tiny heart.

I know we pulled out that first set at Florida, but today was the first time Texas had ever lost the first set in a conference match as a member of the SEC

The Instagram "fans" are annoying me and hating on Jenna for no good reason. Since I don't want to interact with them, I'm coming here to say our girl had a double-double and hit over .300 today. She was excellent in both games this weekend.

Bottom line is that SMU has wins against #1 Nebraska and #2 Pittsburgh. Texas has wins against . . . No. 8 in committee top 16. Don't see how we move up without some other team losing. This isn't like the polls where teams automatically move up when someone ahead of them loses. Texas doesn't have any upcoming matches against RPI Top 10 teams; there's not much left to "impress" the committee. Losses by teams like SMU and Creighton could help Texas come December 1, but SMU's wins against Nebraska and Pittsburgh aren't gonna disappear just because they potentially lose a match to Duke. Auburn losing to Tennessee today pretty much keeps them from threatening to find their way up the rankings; they dropped to #22 in RPI, and A&M fell out of the RPI Top 25 so that cost us one of our wins in that category. What we have left on our schedule to hopefully rack up a couple more RPI Top 25 wins are matches against A&M, Mizzou and Auburn; but, no guarantee they will end the season among the RPI Top 25. Think we're pretty much destined as the #6-8 seed if we go undefeated the rest of the way; any future loss could bump us out of the Top 8.
