i posted both matches on the georgia vs texas thread (via youtube) bottom of pg. 12 Losing set 1 after being up 20-10 is why I have trust issues. Most likely if one were to go back through every year, there likely is at least one similar set every year. The key is not letting the one lost set cause you to lose more. The team responded well to a much smaller run in set 2 and finished strongly in each of the last three sets.

Though nothing has been publicly disclosed by the program, there has been mention here that she's had a couple of ailments that have possibly been hindering her and likely the reason she hasn't been playing 6 rotations as much. Don't remember six rotations being a major reason for her transferring to Texas. In 2022 she only played six rotations for a handful of matches. In a press conference today, JE mentioned that the attempts (or perhaps kills) were about even across the three front row positions since we went to the 6-2. Definitely has been less going to the OH hitters. Didn’t Madi play 6 ro at Kentucky in fall 2021? Have no idea. I don't follow Kentucky volleyball.

she did, on and off
I think they ended with her not playing six but definitely played around with it throughout the year

Also if you were to tell me that Skinner would be last on the team in hitting percentage at .218 on the year and also took a step back in passing, I would’ve scared for our team. However the combination of right side production, blocking, and service pressure has been the key in order to keep the team succeeding. Whoever said that all of our top 3/4 hitters are better on the right was accurate, but I would even say maybe it’s even our top 5 (hence why the 6-2 was a good idea). An argument could be made that Skinner, Jenna, Reagan, Dev, and Whit (even though she isn’t playing rn) all hit better on the right.

It is definitely entertaining to see so many posters with different opinions on our offense, starters, subs, etc. Most seem to change their opinions with every match and sometimes every set. Had we not switched to the 6-2, we'd never have seen Devin blossom before our eyes. Our young, inexperienced middles are also benefiting from this change, IMO. Even though Rutherford has been off the last 2 matches, I don't think the 6-2 has been a negative for any of our players' individual results since the match at Baylor. Our overall team blocking also seems to have progressed. According to Jerritt, the 6-2 was not practiced until a couple of days after we lost at Stanford; so, around September 16. That means barely a month of practice time compared to August and half of September practicing a 5-1 offense. To read posters wanting to ditch the 6-2 and go back to 5-1 just seems so premature; I'm honestly not sure what's triggering it as the overall results since mid-September speak for themselves. So we started the 6-2 after the Stanford loss... Since then we have won all 9 matches AND only dropped 3 sets. Additionally, we have seen the emergence of Mari as SEC defensive player of week for 3 in a row along with Devin becoming a force in her own way. Something is clicking

I wouldn't be so confident. Like I said, a&m will win. Nice. And I'm sure there will be fans of theirs with the Horns Down. Yasss!
My wife offered our two spare tickets to anyone in her office. A woman, who has only been with the company a few months jumped on it. I was about to sell her the tickets when my wife told me she was an Aggie and this would be her first college volleyball game in person.
Nope. Pulled the offer when I found it she was an Aggie. My wife lied to her and told her they were already "taken".
[And yes, I did get my master's degree in College Station]
Omg sameeeee

But both have the ability to do either which is great to have.

I mean, I think it would be hard for the SEC to not give the POY award to someone on the Texas team, especially if we finish the SEC season undefeated. Wednesday will be a tough match, but I'm confident they'll be able to win. We'll need to play smart against Tennessee and Auburn, but we should easily win every match remaining on the schedule. Not only should we but it's imperative due to the lack of RPI-worthy competition. I wouldn't be so confident. Like I said, a&m will win. you've been wrong the past how many matches? the fact that you made an account solely to get on here and hate on Texas is comical and yet sad. have a nice week!
