Just want to say a big congrats on getting the job done in dominating fashion. I’m a Badger fan and not a big poster on here but I had my doubts about Swindle/Wenaas coming into the weekend. Props to both for enduring all of the criticism and getting the job done. Both balled out in the biggest games of the year.
Also, Skinner is insane. She looked like the second coming of Ogonna in 2004 this weekend. Just unstoppable as an attacker. After she went over or around Nebraska’s triple block a few times, you just knew Texas was going to win. Also Halter has established herself as an elite libero. She was money this weekend. Congrats and enjoy all the fun that comes with winning it all (again).

I sympathize with Murray - she's a young player who is used to overwhelming success, got crushed and didn't handle the situation as well as she could have. Who amongst us has not acted like a jerk in the face of severe disappointment at the age of 18/19. Cook, though, that's a totally different story. He's a grown ass man, a father and a grandfather. He should be modelling better behavior for his players. agreed on Murray- she gets a pass for first time. ( Elliot may have saved Ella from a similar judgment when he interrupted her with "no, no, no" when she was asked during the press conference to respond to Murrays comment.) Cook? this is a repeat performance. Remember how he trashed Caffey and to a degree Akana last year--after he did not renew the schollys?... Everyone is wrong except him. It was very bad form and DEFINTELY the wrong time/place to say it. This what is so phony about his excuse and he gets a pass. Every school has 12 scholarships, he actually has 13 since he has a basketball player funding one of his. But you complain woes me I was out there with 4 freshman. Well you had the number 1 recruiting class in 2021. Granted one was hurt. But your freshman middle is playing because she beat out a sophomore that you recruited (Texas too), your setter is starting because she beat out a junior, your other junior OH is part of a number 1 recruiting class, your junior AA libero was part of a #1 recruiting class and they both got their asses handed to them. Don’t ask for pity on your decisions. You were fine with them freshman when you were 33-1. Get your a$$ kicked and you want pity because your freshman beat out other players you recruited? GTFOoH. |

Ella probably would have handled that question well (from what little I know about her) but JE removed any chance that would dull the shine of the championship for her by subjecting her to criticism from rabid Husker fans. Thought JE has done very well presenting the program and the sport this year. |

what better program is out there for her to get ready to go pro as a middle? one year to tide us over and redshirt Ames as well so she can be in the same class as Spears and Vander Wal

I think she would immediately become the #1 priority, especially with her versatility. she could easily take one of the middle spots or the opposite spot, depending on what we need next season. she’d be a little one year YBG!🥹
