The Emma Halter interview on Between the Horns is on there. Thanks for the pointer. I just finished re-watching it. I will say from my trip with her and her parents through Europe that she is exactly the same person as she presents herself in interviews. I spent zero time talking to her on the trip and a lot of time talking to her parents. Her parents are the sweetest, outgoing couple you could ever meet. Always up for a conversation and they have a great sense of humor. Emma was raised right by those two.
One time, Emma was getting off the elevator and you know how you look left and right to get your bearings before you go? She was headed to the lobby and she saw me and took the time and smile and say, "Hi there!" and give a friendly wave before hurrying to join the team bus.
Never got a chance to speak to her, but always saying hi to anyone and everyone.

My adoration for her can’t go any higher. I never want her to leave. Her spirit is so infectious.

this new lhn thing available through an app only? what about just using my desktop? The answer might be yes. It’s available on app only, but can be accessed through a computer. If you have a Windows computer you’ll have to go to the Microsoft Store. On a Mac you’ll go to the App Store. “Powered by Endeavor Streaming, in partnership with Learfield Studios, the leader in college athletics original content, the streaming service is bringing Texas fans worldwide access to original content and live programming, as well as some of the most significant games from the past decade, spanning all 21 of Texas Athletics' programs. The free LHN app will be available on mobile phones, tablets, computers, and connected TV streaming devices starting July 1.”

Reily returns to the University of Texas where she was formerly a volunteer assistant coach during the 2019-2020 fall season. The Del Mar, California native also coached two years of club volleyball at Austin Skyline Volleyball Club, before moving on to coach at WAVE where she played club volleyball in her youth. A 2018 UCLA Grad, Reily played outside for four seasons for the Bruins. In her senior season, she earned All-Pac-12 First Team.

She fills the role of the now departed Reilly Heinrich in the position of someone with that name.

Reily Buechele Canter was married to Chris Canter in September 2023. Her LinkedIn profile shows she’s been at Austin Skyline since May 2024.
I know two career families have all kinds of challenges. Especially when one or the other have to move with some frequency to advance in their careers. Coaching is often one of those careers. I hope this ends up being a springboard for Mrs. Canter for her coaching career.
I’m sure it’s nice to bring someone on board who is familiar with how the program operates, and the personalities involved from her time as the volunteer assistant.
I am going to miss Mrs. Le Roux. I liked her involvement with the national teams. I felt like she represented UT exceptionally well in all her interviews. I hope and expect that our new addition can help keep the train rolling.
