I completely agree!!! She’s one of those bros that isn’t super flashy but is tough as nails. She doesn’t need to fall all over the place to make good digs, she’s just there I wonder if she committed to a smaller school but when Texas was interested she went to Texas. She is definitely good enough to be a scholarship libero. It can be hard to get a scholarship as a libero when you’re not the starting libero on your club team. I think she could have an impact at some point in her career as a DS if she can continue to improve at serve receive and reactive quickness.

i thought helmers, byrd & tomkinson would have 4 years left, redshirt year (none of them played their freshman year)...byrd & helmers were injured I think this is the looking at 2025 eligibility, so after this season is over I feel one or two of the 3 are probably going to transfer. So many pins and the 2026 class is bringing another good one

I didn’t see the orange and white scrimmage on Texas spring schedule. I’m not sure if this has been discussed but if they do have one, I hope it’s televised. If not on the SEC network then atleast the SEC+ option. Alex Loeb and Shelby Coppedge have called most of our home games including the orange and white scrimmage. I don't think it's normally listed on the schedule. Last year it was announced in early August and played on Aug 12. Good question about if it will be televised though. Since they are the #1 preseason SEC team, I would hope it's on SEC Network.

I wonder if any school has requested that those matches be televised. Also being the defending two-time national champion, might be some more interest by the network. We shall see.

Maybe Jenna plays 6 if we run a 6-2 doubt it, that would mean Akana is completely benched. I imagine that lineup would be Skinner/Wenaas (DS Akana) Mari/Ames Carlson/Rutherford (Swindle/Devin) Halter with Mari serving That's what I thought would be the main downside of a 2-setter offense. How did Nebraska's 2-setter offense in 2022 work with both Lexi Rodriquez and Kenzi Knuckles playing backrow only? They subbed in the for middles, I believe. So, we'd still need 2 littles (Halter and Akana) to sub in for our 2 middles in the back row.

Akana, like Knuckles, would sub for an outside. it’s exactly what Wisconsin did this past season. a 6-2 where one of the outsides gets a DS. it can rack up subs sometimes but ehh not too worried about that. isn’t often an issue if you aren’t using a serve sub and even if it was, we could keep Swindle and Devin in so we keep height at the net and still have a decent defender backrow. granted I don’t think we’ll be seeing a 2 setter offense

I goofed on the Libero subbing in for both MB's. To me, we need Akana to serve. And, we need Akana to be a secondary setter on the court. I don't want to give up either of those skills she brings.
