parra is looking like a top 5 OH in the ncaa rn, lucky for everyone else that she was replaced with wenaas lol Are parra’s passing #’s any good tho? The trolls are back. And this dud(e) wonders why his posts are not well-received on here. SMFH Like child we are sooo far past Parra right now😭 she’s gone and thriving, nothing we can do and nothing JE can do, so idk why she’s still being brought up this consistently in the Texas thread 😵💫

Devin is three years into the program. She has been “loyal” and is biding her time. However, JE keeps brining in transfers who leapt over her on the depth chart. Also the fact that JE has not given Devin extended PT should be a hint to her that she is not viewed as someone who will be part of the future plan. She played zero minutes in the win over Houston and when she does get PT, it’s mostly situational and she hasn’t performed well. It’s unfortunate her volleyball career hasn’t taken off like she would like it to. She should have moved on this season but now, she will have to endure a third season of being a reserve. She can bide her time until she graduates. Maybe she is happy just being a cheerleader for her team and living life away from home. As far as her Volleyball career, it's probably over after being a bench warmer in Austin. Caylen Alexander had almost as many kills last weekend as Devin has had her entire career at Texas.

She’s going crazy. Genuinely amazing to see her doing so well
But for her shoulders sake, please figure out how to set someone else a little more 😭

Quick reminder for anyone who wants to talk about Melanie Parra's transfer out: Melanie transferred out after Madisen Skinner was brought in to replace Skylar Fields. Parra didn't beat out Madi for that second OH spot and transferred out right after the 2022 national championship.
After Mel had put her name in the transfer portal JE went out and got Jenna Wenaas. JE didn't choose Jenna over Mel or recruit over Mel with Jenna.
Well, unless time travel was involved I guess.

Does anyone know if there's a record for breaking your opponents' attendance records?

Does anyone know if there's a record for breaking your opponents' attendance records? And Stanford of all schools!! Texas volleyball really is the show on the road. I bet they could even get the LA schools to have packed gyms. (Saying this for me because I would like them to come to LA.)

Idk if you remember but Phillips was recruited as a middle and replaced Butler in the beginning of her freshman season. During the covid season after Micaya White left, Parra replaced her. Parra and Logan were the outsides and Skylar was the opposite. Parra wasn’t performing well so they moved Skylar to the left and put Molly on the right. And we saw how good Skylar was on the left. If she stayed, she would have defintely played but I think she was tired of being behind so many girls. But Melanie defintely got an opportunity.

I always thought Parra wanted out after Wennas decided to transfer to Texas…or atleast it was rummored but not official that she was and Parra finally decided she needed a fresh start and change of scenery…i do agree she did get a shot early on and maybe she just wasnt ready or had better players ahead of her or just the scheme of the whole team didnt fit her…i thought she played well in her last season with Eggleston and Madi all on the floor together but JE decided to go to a more defensive route…wither way worked out for both parties…Parra is thriving and obviously wanted to be a #1 option and Texas went on a crazy run and won another chip…
