stanford needs a new volleyball/basketball arena. maples pavilion is just sad You mean a new fan base, Maples is fine both! stanford vball attendance usually consists of boomers and youth club teams that scream and run around. students (and this goes for most california schools) don't show out because their campus isn't in the middle of nowhere. |

Great season for FS. Had a chance in that first set, but once Stanford gets going it is tough to stop them. Stan sweeps, led by Baird with 15 kills.

Baird, Vicini, and Kipp (the 3 super seniors) lead the way tonight. Very impressed with Stanfords pin blocking and Kipps overall defensive play on the court. She has come SO far in the last few years with her floor defense

Great season for FS. Had a chance in that first set, but once Stanford gets going it is tough to stop them. Stan sweeps, led by Baird with 15 kills. Stanford started out a little slow tonight with eight errors in set one and credit to FS as they played at a high level, hence the close score in that set. In sets two and three, FS's passing broke down and Miner was able to isolate her hitters against short pin blockers. As FS's passing broke down and they were more OOS, Francis, Kipp, Vicini, and Baird started to block a lot more FS attacks and Stanford rolled. |

Kipp is having a match so good Some of those kills last night were crazy. Kipp should have had one more kill as that incredible dig by Fraga on a Kipp bomb was going to travel over Stanford's end line, but Oglivie decided to play it. |
