I'd love it if Jackson State sent a 'sample' of their marching band to the Field House as a pep band, but I'm not holding my breath. I think maybe Illinois State was the last visiting school that brought a band, maybe a half dozen years ago. Great idea! |

I almost cried at the opening video of the JSU band playing. Such spirit and precision somehow becoming the same thing. That's beautiful.

If Damrow weren't injured, we'd have nine who could play. As it is, we'd have eight. We could do it!! (Reminds me of the spring 2021 match vs Northwestern that never was. UW was coming off a COVID team shutdown, but nobody knew who was going to be available. The report had been that most all of the front row had been sick. So the front row vs Northwestern might have been Deahna Kraft, Gregorski and Wohlert. It would have been freaking awesome to see. But Northwestern cancelled, for reasons still not fully understood as far as I know.) |
