Georgia Tech is making their 13th NCAA tournament appearance. The Yellow Jackets are 50-38 (.568) in sets played since their first appearance in 1994. They have advanced to the:
Elite Eight: 2 times -- 2003,2021
Sweet Sixteen: 1 time --2004.
South Alabama is making their 2nd NCAA tournament appearance. The Jaguars lost 1-3 (.250) in the first round in 2021.
