I almost feel like we’re being punished for whatever reason (yes I’m making this about me because I’m the only one that matters here obvi). Like it makes no sense even if Devin is transferring out, she’s better than miller and if Wenaas is struggling, like she always is, sub in Devin. Why force us to watch stuff after stuff after stuff (and that’s just on 3 attacks). Lord I hope the portal gods (or freshmen) bless us for 2024. Cause I can’t take another year of this You poor, poor thing. If the program isn't meeting your expectations and lofty standards, you should definitely cut your losses and find another team to "support". Bandwagon fans are always in high demand. lmfaooooo can you not??? I've supported Texas since I was in middle school. Sorry I don't approve of a player who's literally hit negative the last two games and has continued to struggle ALL year. Forgive me for wanting better for my favorite program than -.143 and -.091 against unranked teams. I didn't see the horns through the Great Depression or whatever you're used to. Besides if you don't wanna listen to me complain the block button is right there babes. I'll even teach you how to use it if need be.

Cause I can’t take another year of this Truthfully, the team is now 23-4, an overall #7 seed, about to play for a likely opportunity to participate in the 18th Sweet Sixteen in a row - the active leader in all of volleyball. It's first world volleyball problems. It's not like we've been wandering through the desert for 40 years as a volleyball program. We just won our 4th national championship last year with a magical run. We flipped Ames from Nebraska and have Spears, Vander Wow, Krueger and others coming in 2025. You're being overly dramatic when you talk about how "I can't take another year of this." It hasn't actually been that bad. I get the frustration, but I think we could all have a little more perspective. The sky isn't falling. We have an outside hitter who attacks directly into the block and costs us points on a regular basis, and often isn't terminal when she's not doing that. Certainly not ideal, but not the end of the world, either. That's not to say I don't understand your frustration. I definitely share it. But from a volleyball perspective things could be a whole lot worse. That's all I'm saying. I understand I'm being dramatic (that's kind of the point). I know we're still doing well all things considered but I'm tired of seeing our OH hit into hands, not even high hands, palms. I love Texas down but I'm frustrated and venting. Apologizes if everyone doesn't feel the same way but I know I can't be the only one that's tired of it. I know Wenaas isn't the only problem too. Barnes has been slightly disappointing, Ella can be inconsistent and Molly has been off? this year (and I'll admit I wasn't her biggest fan to begin with). But Wenaas has struggled match after match after match. It's tiring to watch a player who won't/can't adjust when you're used to something entirely different. I've been a Texas fan for a while now but not nearly as long as some of you, so forgive me for not knowing what the dark times were like. No shade. It's just been rough having to go from players like White, Eggleston and Fields to Wenaas.

It's just been rough having to go from players like White, Eggleston and Fields to Wenaas. The only dark times were with Jim Moore as coach and then a brief period when Elliott was building his juggernaut. Our version of dark times is making it to a slew of Final Fours without winning a national championship. Boo hoo. There are no real dark times as a Texas volleyball fan with Elliott as the head coach.

Someone on the match thread complained the fans were making fun of A&M by chanting “S-E-C” in the 4th set. “You’re joining the conference next year!” Yeah, and we’ll be chanting that cultish chant in mockery - especially against the Aggies, but everyone else, too - for years to come. I loved it so much hearing the Texas fans in Tuscaloosa chanting it at the football game this year. My peeps. We’re never joining in on that crap. Let the Aggies live vicariously through their affiliation.
