Right now the big factors for Texas are Halter's service line rotation. Swindle setting. Texas back row defense. Skinner going completely off. And SMU not able to put any pressure on Texas with their serve.
And now the block is coming alive.
4-3 Texas right now. Anyone's set obviously.

Honestly, our defense this match. It's not just Halter. It's everyone. Really clean digs. Getting to everything.
That serve from SMU was really good, too. Just couldn't convert.
5-3.
Then an overpass for SMU that O'Neal crushes.
6-3. Texas.

Yesterday i mentioned in the gt, the winner will come down to who is more effective, Wenaas or Perdue. Seems to be true based off the first set. That's an odd analysis for the first set. Wenaas was practically a non factor. 2 kills, 1 error, 6 swings. Not really? Texas' run happened when Wheeler is in the back row, and Perdue is in the front row. The great service pressure from Texas + SMU struggling to put the ball down from Perdue made things very difficult from them. When Jenna was in the front row, she was finding the floor more efficiently than Perdue. So, I don't consider her a non-factor, personally.

Texas serving just eating SMU right up.
8-3 Texas after a Skinner ace.

Sure, if you want to say Perdue's struggles are hurting SMU, that's fine. But how she was comparing to Wenaas was pretty immaterial. Shime has 4 errors. It's not just Perdue struggling. Wheeler only has 2 kills. I maintain it's an odd analysis. Texas is dominating SMU, but Perdue versus Wenaas has very little to do with it.

imagine if Akana and Asjia were serving at their last year level, along with baby spice, Madi, and carissa omg… even swindle I think Asjia and Madi’s serve this year has too much pace and it’s losing more of its float. Idk what’s going on with Akana’s, doesn’t have as much pace or float? She’s pulling an Iosia on us💀

SMU just looks like they're breathing a sigh of relief every time they get a sideout.
Meanwhile, Texas is siding out SMU at an 81% rate. Jeez.
