I thought you couldnt challenge back row touches lol You are wrong basil watches international volleyball so it makes sense for their confusion. In the FIVB - you cannot touch backrow touches (which is wild given the camera quality).

I think that involves camera placement... if the touch isnt in the line of sight for the camera (since they're positioned specifically for lines or certain areas of the net)... are you SOL? lol

[Mary] seemed to be scolding Collier…. Mary's smile struck me as surprisingly large before the handshake, but I didn't think there was anything else of note until hearing one of the commentators on ESPN's "The 5th Set" start to question something. I couldn't make out the comment but Paul quickly cut in with "we don't know what was said." Just watch it. Mary literally says “you played your ass off” and hugs her. There was no scolding.

Where are the GT fans? Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds A college bell to put it in and a clapper to stir it around I’d drink to all the good fellows who come from far and near I’m a ramblin’ gamblin’ hell of an engineer! Hey! You got bailed out by the R2. Drink to that. You? I'm just an Iowa fan wondering where the GT fans are now. It's Friday night, so thanks I'll drink to pretty much anything. But maybe one more for the road if UF loses in anything.

Just watch it. Mary literally says “you played your ass off” and hugs her. There was no scolding. I watched it over and over and have no opinion. I'm just reporting that another observer said she didn't like something that happened after the match, and Paul quickly pointed out we don't know what was said. You can listen to the commentator who thinks she observed something by replaying that part of "The 5th Set." I can't make out what she is saying after the first few words and closed captioning couldn't, either, so I can't even report what it was she didn't like.

Pretty much the definition of a close match, but one team had to win. Florida had 2 more total points and one more points scored, plus maybe the smallest advantage in hitting percentage I remember seeing (.001), but Georgia Tech won the key points to win 2 deuce sets. Congrats to the Jackets, probably a great match to watch for neutral fans! Hoping Stucky is back 100% in late August, and, well, if it goes how I think, yeah, good luck to the Jackets in Lincoln, but that is a very hard place to win!

Mary, you in danger girl. Of what? Being the coach with the most wins? What are you suggesting?

Georgia Tech making the Sweet 16 without Julia B. wasn't something I saw coming. Congrats to the Ramblin' Wreck.
I didn't know that Elli McKissock and Sofia Victoria played their last match as Gators. As soon as Elli hit the scene I thought she was a good libero and she has always entertaining to watch.
I hope see the Gators get and stay healthy in 2024. Kennedy Martin will be a force her entire collegiate career.

Mary, you in danger girl. Of what? Being the coach with the most wins? What are you suggesting? People always coming after her, and for what. Honestly no one will know how far the gators would have gotten if Stucky never got injured - they were in for an amazing season, with potential of a deep run . I know they’ll be back next season and hopefully Stucky will have healed and able to be her former self. Rooting for them!!

Here's the link to the specific point in the stream of Friday's The 5th Set: www.espn.com/espnplus/player/_/id/12788faa-f005-450d-92bc-e3245d37b62e?t=06h05m14sThe commentator says "I said that Georgia Tech is a team that plays with emotion. I didn't quite like, at the end, what I saw between... [unclear / Paul cuts in]." I don't even know which person did something she didn't like; I'm just curious what transpired. Hats off to both teams for battling so hard.

Really devastating loss. We all knew it would come down to serve receive and Florida really just can't pass a ball to save their lives when it matters. One thing I know? These girls are out for blood next year, knowing how good they were before the Stucky injury. Kudos to Muff for carrying what I think is the biggest load being the only setter on the team but also the backup setter that never expected to play. I'm just so ready to forget about this season and move on Yes, SR was rough in set 3. 1, 2, 4, &, 5 pretty solid. Otherwise, agenda noted. GT was able to terminate out of system. UF had movements of it, but not enough. Congrats to GT. Your prize - Nebraska. Hoping you manage 15 pts. Florida fans losing with class

Mary showed great sportswomanship with that handshake. Very cool. She seemed to be scolding Collier…. No way. Elli's sister Matti played for GT. Mutual respect.

Aw man, Florida was the team I was rooting for to win the championship. They started off hot and looked like they might've pulled it off, and then Stucky went down. Martin is still my NFOY.
