I like the Gator team, but GT is my team. So.... there's that. I watched the replay of the final point about 30 times. It never gets old. Sadly, this success probably won't help with recruiting outside Brazil. It will just increase the number of schools trying to lure our coach away with more money. Northwestern now has an opening π€£π€£π€£

The notion that Wise would be "in danger" this season when they looked like the best team in the country early and then got ravaged by injury is hilarious. Injuries, no injuries β¦ SEC Championship, no SEC Championship, tournament appearances/finishes good or bad, etc, etc, etc β¦.. Mary Wise will coach at Florida for as long as she wants to unless she commits a felony (God forbid). Floridaβs on court successes and deficiencies over the years all have one common denominator. Florida fans get perennial success in most terms other than a National title - way better than most fans get. Hopefully nobody leaves. Agreed, this is actually the 1st season Wise has not lead Florida to 20 wins (19). That is 32 seasons of play and only this season not making it to 20 wins. She is not going anywhere until she decides to retire. Don't know how next season will go but looks promising if Stucky is back to herself. The freshman Hutson only played about three matches this year but in those was a dynamic duo with Martin. She potentially will be much more terminal than ACF or Sofia and if healthy has a really high ceiling for improvement. Some great freshmen coming in too. Getting better and more consistent play in SR and back row and oos setting will be key to being a much improved team over the one that lost to GT and played pretty competitive this season after losing starters. Essix showed something these two tourney matches to give hope to a return to effective play.

VolleyTalk only saves 67 pages of one's most recent posts in the profile. I think each page has 15 posts, so anyone who's posted more than 1005 posts can't access the 1006th or earlier in the profile. If you click on my profile, it might appear that my first post is November 18, 2023, but I've been around for almost five years. That's just the 1005th most recent post I've made. (Guess I've posted a lot since mid-November).
