I love skinner, but he's added Rollins and Wilson in the portal era while losing Madi, Fischer, bell, and now Rutherford and Williams. Sorry I was hoping for a better rate of return coming off a title in 2020 lol. there's a lot that goes into it. Fischer and bell both left because they weren't going to be starters based off what they had done in UKs gym. Rutherford loves the program and always intended on staying for a full 4 years, now with her entire recruiting class gone it makes sense she wants to move on as well |

I wonder if Pitt is interested in Rutherford. Pitt would be unstoppable in a 6/2 with her and Babcock I just don’t see her transferring to play in a 6-2 (unless she’s also setting lol). This was a quote from her towards the end of last season: “I always expressed to Craig, like I want to be a six-rotation right side. And he said to do that we’ve ‘got to work on your ball control.’ So yeah, I worked on a lot of serve receive.” |

If Baylor is losing Carlson and has an extra scholarship to offer, I’m sure they go after Williams. They’re fine on the pins, but could use some help alongside Bibinbe. And Williams is from Texas which is a good start. I don’t see Rutherford transferring to Baylor or Texas A&M just based on the opposites those teams already have. Texas could make sense. Or if she’s not prioritizing being on a top tier team and is wanting guaranteed 6-rotation time, I could see her reuniting with McCardell at Rice. 6-rotation play seems like a big priority for her, and I’m sure she can find a team with good enough passing outsides that won’t force her to pass as an opposite. You take Rutherford over Sczech 100 times out of 100. |

If a team were to lose like 8-12 players, is it possible to still get incoming freshman recruits, or is there a limit to the number of freshman you can sign (IIRC, football has a limit of 25 scholarship athletes it can bring in, but can still offer walk-ons). Just curious if any team could lose 10 players, only bring in 8 new recruits, and thus HAVE to hit the portal?

I know those situations exist. I hope she finds one. |

I wonder what is the most number of scholarships a top team still has open for next year. If somehow these portal girls banded together and all went to the same school.. that'd be interesting. Preferably non P5 please! Oregon's got at least 3. (7 graduating seniors + Kelley versus 2 to new recruits, 2-3 to players currently on roster). if Rutherford isn’t going to Texas, I would allow Oregon to get Rutherford, Lovett, and Carlson lol or if Cline is good, then Meg Brown |

That’s why she’s looking for someplace else. I don’t see Texas being a great fit in that regard. |
