Someone refresh my memory please. Does a team have to be done playing for a player to enter the portal? A grad transfer can enter the portal at any time, and not just during 'the window'. Reserve DS for Wisconsin Sydney Reed entered the portal a week ago or so. Undergrads might be a different story with regard to "being done". Sometimes players have their old club coaches put out feelers to programs, or vice-versa before they even decide to transfer..... club coaches are almost agents these days. Unfortunately. Talking to a players old club coach is common place to, "see if they're happy." |

It seems the Badger fans are triggered by suggestions that Sheffield will go to the portal. It's what he does, he has a track record. It's not illegal, the rules allow it. You should celebrate it, not pretend that's not his MO. He's done it as well or better than anyone not really, I mean whatever Sheff needs to do to make this team the best, he needs to do. If he can get a pickup that fits in with the culture, I am all for that. We are a little thin on a couple positions. |

Well, we don't know. Nobody on this board knows. That is the point. If they go 5-1 with Charlie Fuerbringer setting, who in the hell knows what Sheff will come up with. He just rolled with Orzol at libero. Anything is possible are the 12 scholarships used up for next season as of now? That's a big mystery. There are 6 freshman coming in; no way to know who got what, except Charlie had to be a full ride I assume. Others have said, e.g., Lola Schumacher, that they turned down a full ride at other programs to play for The Badgers. Also not sure about "who had what" for the players who are timed out or otherwise leaving, e.g. MJ Hammil. |

The window opens after the postseason selection show. As an example, football players have to wait until after tomorrow’s bowl selection show to officially enter (though many have announced their intent to do so already). |

That’s weird, I’ve seen several undergrads on the College VB Transfers Insta. There’s an exception for coaching changes, right? |
